IT Asset Lifecycle: Acquire to Retire

• Asset Request: iProcurement, user requests new asset. System checks availability, if available asset sourced internally otherwise purchase created

• Procure: Asset ordered from vendor or internal asset stockroom and transferred.

• Receive: Asset received into system, upon receipt all relevant information is capture for asset, user, owner, location…

• Deploy: Asset installed at location service ticket system updated with appropriate asset data

• Update / In-service: Asset linked to user and location, asset placed in service and Fixed Assets notified.

• Re-Deploy: Asset Moved, Changed, returned to stock.

• Retire: operations retires asset, Fixed Assets automatically notified so that gain loss calculations and asset sale or dispose can be initiated
