Dear Church Family,Welcome to Bible Center. Thanks

for coming today. We are launching forth into fall on its first day…in worship. There is a great hymn that extols God’s faithfulness and notes how the passing seasons provide a fresh opportunity to see God’s faithfulness. God has certainly been faithful to Bible Center Church. We meet together today again to approach Him. Our joy is made more full because you are with us today.

This morning, we look at the care celebrated in Jesus’ small group. He loved His small group (the disciples). Love moves people and organizations forward. Love acts and shapes people’s lives. We have been touched by God’s great love for us in Christ. We are working on responding in-kind at Bible Center. Our Community Groups are being launched, in part, to raise the specter of care. Our culture uses a negative phrase “I couldn’t care less.” At Bible Center, we are working to “care more!” Join a Community Group…and link up in this work with us.

Have you ever known of a family with heartache over a child? King David knew the trauma. Tonight, we go through the saga of Absalom’s rebellious coup…and chart a way forward for us.

Also tonight, we welcome Roger Doriot, one of our global partners. He will share briefly in our evening service about his involvement in a project with Wycliffe Bible Translators.

Big Day! Welcome to fall…may God crown it with blessing for you!

Keep Going,

Eric MountsSenior Pastor

Our New Small GrOupS miNiStry

What is it?Community Groups are small groups of adults (generally about 12) that meet weekly in homes throughout the valley for fellowship, prayer, and sermon-based discussions. Through Community, our people will live for Christ together by developing biblical relationships within the body.

When is it?The fall session of our Community Groups will begin in October and run until the week before Thanksgiving. These same groups will resume in January and run through the spring.

What night of the week is it?Our Community Groups are available almost every night of the week, except Wednesdays. You have the flexibility to choose a group that fits your schedule, location, and child situation.

How do I get connected with a Community Group?Find a Community Group by registering online through www.biblecenterchurch.com/community or by visiting the registration table in the Gathering Space.

for a Concert of Prayer and Praise followed by an ice cream social onSunday, October 6, at 6 PMat the church to launch this ministry. Everyone is invited!
