oPPortunitYSolving the world’s water problems is proving to be one of the greatest investment opportunities of our time. Current water supplies are failing to meet worldwide demand and water quality is suffering in the process. The World Bank estimates that 1.1 billion people lack access to safe drinking water and results in the death of over 3.6 million annually.
If present water use and contamination rates continue, within 25 years the world will be using 90 percent of all available freshwater. To address the problem, trillions of dollars are being invested in water. And while the problems are most acute in developing and rapidly growing economies, water quality issues plague industrialized countries.
In the U.S. alone, it is estimated that more than $1 trillion will be needed for water infrastructure to maintain the status quo. Such staggering numbers indicate there is money to be made in water. In order to understand where the true opportunity lies requires understanding where the current investments are being made.
FAST FACTS
There are 1.4 billion cubic
kilometers of water on the
planet but almost 97 percent
is salt water. Most freshwater
is locked up in glaciers or deep
underground, leaving only a
fraction available for human
consumption or use.
ProjeCTed GlobAl WATer SCArCiTy, 2025Boundary representation is not necessarily authoritative
Physical Water Scarcity: More than 75% of river flows are allocated to agriculture, industries or domestic purposes. This definition of scarcity relating water availability to water demand- implies that dry areas are not necessarily water-scarce.
Approaching Physical Water Scarcity: More than 60% of river flows are allocated. These basins will experience physical water scarcity in the near future.
Economic Water Scarcity: Water resources are abundant relative to water use, with less than 25% of water from rivers withdrawn for human purposes, but malnutrition exists.
Little or no water scarcity. Water Quality Contamination Issues.
Not estimated.
Agriculture accounts for
66 percent of human water
consumption, industry 20
percent, domestic households
10 percent, according to the
World Water Council. About
four percent evaporates from
man-made reservoirs.
1.1 Billion people lack
access to safe water
supplies; approximately
one in eight people.
3.6 million people die each
year from a water related
disease. This is equal to the
entire city of Los Angeles.
Every 20 seconds a child dies
from a water-related illness.
defining the $425 billion global
Water seCtorFor practical purposes, there is no single global water sector. Instead, the water market is composed of at least ten distinct subsectors including the equipment and services for
pumps, valves, water test, filtration/desalination, drinking water, wastewater, industrial water treatment, infrastructure, automation, and consulting/engineering services. Each
of these subsectors has its own demand drivers, embedded technology, and competitive dynamics. An alternative resource is on tap for water. The Atmosphere.
Bottled water and drinking water purification account for $220 Billion in
investment spending

the future of water is here, noW.
Imagine a solution to the water crisis that is in complete harmony with the hydrological cycle. A revolutionary technology that doesn’t place additional demands on the planet. A technology that extracts pure, fresh drinking
water from a resource that regenerates itself with each passing day. EcoloBlue offers this technology today for both commercial and personal use. No depletion of vital aquifers. No plastic bottles.
No wars over the future of a resource every human is entitled to enjoy. EcoloBlue water is generated from a source the average investor fails to see as the source is largely invisible.
