“Canada 150” Business Mission from India What In Celebration of Canada’s 150 th Anniversary, a business mission to Canada is being organized by the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC) and the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) in association with the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi. How High Commissioner for Canada in India, H.E. Nadir Patel , will lead a business mission of qualified Indian companies and organizations interested in increasing trade and investment between Canada and India. In Celebration of Canada’s 150th Anniversary, a business mission to Canada is being organized by

the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC) and the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) in

association with the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi.

How

Format

ICCC and ICBC will facilitate business-to-business (B2B) meetings in Toronto. The priority sectors

for this business mission are advanced manufacturing and technology; value added food

processing, information and communication technology, clean technology, life sciences, and

innovation.

Trade Show

A trade show will be held during the Canada India Business Symposium (CIBS) If you are

interested in participating please contact us or click here.

Note

Qualified companies will be notified by 25th April. Representatives should apply for visas before 1st

May in order to participate in the delegation. Delegates will be responsible for arranging for their

own visas (see attached info sheet), accommodations and flights to and within Canada. However,

ICBC encourages delegates to contact one of the two preferred travel partners below to engage

their services. Their services include airfare, accommodation, ground transportation and city tour

packages etc. Visa facilitation service is not included.

Applying for Canadian visas Important information for participants

Participants from Invited companies will be responsible for obtaining their own visas.

ICBC, ICCC, and the High Commission of Canada cannot facilitate visa applications.

Participants need to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa.

If you currently have a visa, please ensure that it is valid at least until the day of your admission into

Canada.

Your passport must be valid through the period of travel in Canada.

Please apply as early as possible but certainly before May 1, 2017.

This site directs you how to apply. Follow all the

instructions to the end.*Make sure to also comply

with the additional instructions listed below.

You will need to be at a computer station that can

upload documents to finalize your application.

Payment can be made by credit card on-line.

Once your visa is approved you will be notified to send in your passport to have the visa inserted. This

will take about 24-48 hours to complete.

* Additional instructions specific to Canada 150 participants:

Make sure to include a copy of your Letter of invitation to the supporting documents you are

uploading;

Once your application is completed, send a heads up email mentioning your application number to

the following email address: [email protected] with Canada 150 as the email

subject.

Visa Applications Centres in India

If you prefer to apply through a Visa Application Centre, please see this site: www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/india/ . There are 10

VACs in India. This site allows you to choose the closest one. This application option requires you to surrender your

passport during the visa application process. You will then need to pick up your visa at the VAC where you submitted your

application.
