God our Father, who by sending into the world
the Word of truth and the Spirit of sanctification
made known to the human race your wondrous mystery,
grant us, we pray, that in professing the true faith,
we may acknowledge the Trinity of eternal glory
and adore your Unity, powerful in majesty.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

Liturgy of the Word
READING I Exodus 34:4b-6, 8-9
Early in the morning Moses went up Mount Sinai
as the LORD had commanded him,
taking along the two stone tablets.
Having come down in a cloud, the LORD stood with Moses there
and proclaimed his name, "LORD."
Thus the LORD passed before him and cried out,
"The LORD, the LORD, a merciful and gracious God,
slow to anger and rich in kindness and fidelity."
Moses at once bowed down to the ground in worship.
Then he said, "If I find favor with you, O Lord,
do come along in our company.
This is indeed a stiff-necked people; yet pardon our wickedness and sins,
and receive us as your own."
RESPONSORIAL PSALM Daniel 3:52, 53, 54, 55, 56
READING II 2 Corinthians 13:11-13
Brothers and sisters, rejoice.
Mend your ways, encourage one another, agree
with one another, live in peace, and the God of
love and peace will be with you.
Greet one another with a holy kiss.
All the holy ones greet you.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ
and the love of God
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all
of you.
GOSPEL ACCLAMATION Cf. Rv 1:8
Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit;
to God who is, who was, and who is to come.

GOSPEL John 3:16-18
God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him might not perish
but might have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world might be saved through him.
Whoever believes in him will not be condemned,
but whoever does not believe has already been condemned,
because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
HOMILY
PROFESSION OF FAITH: The Nicene Creed
I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial
with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven, At the words that follow, up to and including and
became man, all bow.
and by the Holy Spirit
was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified
under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand
of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord,
the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father
and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son
is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic
and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the
forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection
of the dead
and the life of the world to come.
Amen.

so we acclaim: “Glory to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.”
R/. “Glory to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.”
INTRODUCTION • For our parish communities, that the life-giving love of the Most Holy Trinity may
flow through us so that we may persevere in supporting the lonely, consoling the grieving, encouraging the struggling, and forgiving those who have injured us, we
pray to the Lord.
• For an end to violence in our cities, that God will give courage to all who are
working for peace in neighborhoods, help the voices of those who have
experienced injustice to be heard, and turn the hearts of those prone to violence toward new ways of working for change, we pray to the Lord.
• We pray for the intentions of Pope Francis, that all those who suffer may find their
way in life, allowing themselves to be touched by the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we
pray to the Lord.

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil,
graciously grant peace in our days,
that, by the help of your mercy,
we may be always free from sin
and safe from all distress,
as we await the blessed hope
and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
For the kingdom, the power
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
LAMB OF GOD Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
have mercy, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
have mercy, have mercy on us.
Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world,
grant us, grant us peace.
INVITATION TO COMMUNION Behold the Lamb of God,
behold him who takes away
the sins of the world.
Blessed are those called
to the supper of the Lamb.
Lord, I am not worthy
that you should enter under my roof,
but only say the word
and my soul shall be healed.
COMMUNION ANTIPHON Gal 4:6 Since you are children of God,
God has sent into your hearts the Spirit of his Son,
the Spirit who cries out: Abba, Father.

COMMUNION SONG I Am the Bread of the Life
Suzanne Toolan, RSM
1. I am the Bread of life. You who come to me shall not hunger; and who believe in me shall not thirst. No one can come to me unless the Father beckons.
2. The bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the
world, and if you eat of this bread, you shall live for ever, you shall live for ever.
3. Unless you eat of the flesh of the Son of Man and drink of his blood, and drink of his blood, you shall not have life within
you.
4. I am the Resurrection, I am the life. If you believe in me, even though you die, you shall live for ever.
SPIRITUAL COMMUNION PRAYER St. Alphonsus Liguori
18th century
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION May receiving this Sacrament, O Lord our God,
bring us health of body and soul,
as we confess your eternal holy Trinity and undivided Unity.
