Viable versus Non-Viable Pathogen Detection

ApolloDx’s system: designed to distinguish between viable/non-viable pathogens. • Culture takes from 1 to 30 days depending on the species, which is problematic in the context

of life-threatening infections. • Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) cannot distinguish viable bacterial cells from non-viable cells.
