Apple Users Report Cambridge Analytica has conducted a survey that is weighted to reflect national statistics. In the following plots we compare owners of

● iPhones vs Android smartphones ● iPads vs Android tablets ● Mac vs Windows PCs

Across the following user segments ● People that engage in a certain hobby ● People that have visited certain retail stores ● People that own certain vehicles ● People that use particular news sources

Interpretation: This plot shows the difference between the fraction of Android and iPhone users that say they engage in the hobbies listed above. Example: Survey respondents that own an Android smartphone were more than 5% more likely than respondents with an iPhone to consider cooking as one of their hobbies.

Interpretation: This plot shows the difference between the fraction of Android and iPhone users that say they have visited the stores above in the last 6 months.

Example: Survey respondents that own an iPhone were more than 8% more likely than respondents with an Android smartphone to have visited an H&M store in the last 6 months. Note: We found that iPhone users had generally visited more stores on average which is why most of the brands are to the right of the chart. This is shown in the chart below. In other words, Apple device owners are more frequent shoppers!

Interpretation: This plot shows the difference between the fraction of Android and iPhone users that say they own the car brands listed above.

Example: Survey respondents that own an iPhone were about 2% more likely than respondents with an Android smartphone to own a Honda.

Interpretation: This plot shows the difference between the fraction of Android and iPhone users that say use the news sources listed above.

Example: Survey respondents that own an iPhone were about 4% more likely than respondents with an Android smartphone say that they use the Wall St Journal as a source of news.
