5S is the name of a workplace organization method that uses a list of five Japanese words: seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu, and shitsuke.

Seiton Set in order/Simplify
Seiso shine/cleanliness
Seiketsu Standardize
Shitsuke Sustain/self discipline
Japanese Term- English Equivalent
How to short things:-Decide what We need
We need to Remove unnecessary items and dispose them properly
Remove all parts not in use from our campus
Remove items which are broken, unusable items.
For example

How to set things in order:
– After eliminating all the unnecessary, unrelated items, then we need to do:-
Arrange all necessary items so they can be easily selected for
use
Should Make workflow smooth and easy
Need to ensure first-come-first-served basis
How to shine your things:
–Need to make clean completely all the classes
– Keep class rooms and offices safe and easy to work
–Use cleaning as inspection
How to standardize:Simplify the way of maintaining cleanness.
Maintain everything in order and according to its standard.

How to sustain the 4s:Once the previous 4S’ s has been established, they become the
new way to operate.
