The Douro and Port Wine• In the North, the most

significant area is the Douro. It has unique vineyards. Our wines are worldwide famous, highly appreciated and awarded: especially Port Wine made from grapes grown in the Douro river banks. In fact, Port Wine growing areas are considered World Heritage Sites by Unesco and are one of the big tourist attractions in the north of Portugal.

Serra da Estrela

• In the centre we selected Serra da Estrela because it’s the highest mountain of Portugal. In this area several products are typical: cattle, dairy products, wool and mineral water.

• In the coast of the centre region we have fishing, salt, tinned food industries, commercial ports and so on.
