WELCOME to the 2015 Phoenix Pet Expo at the beautiful WestWorld of Scottsdale.

Our goal with this Expo is to educate and inspire the Phoenix pet community. So many pet parents don’t realize just how many resources are available to them locally or have information about the numerous ways that the non-profit community needs their support.

During show hours of 10AM to 6PM Satur-day and 11AM to 4PM Sunday, you’ll have an op-portunity to discover wonderful resources for the benefit of your furry and feathered friends; from adoption to Flyball and training to supplies, more than 200 reputable organizations and companies are available to provide you with the tools and in-formation that you need as a pet parent.

In addition, please check out the variety of non-profit organizations, here in Phoenix, which are in desperate need of recognition, donations, volun-teers, and - most importantly - loving and committed homes for some deserving animals.

You’ll also want to make sure that you don’t miss our featured presentations on the Entertainment Stage, Flyball and Canine Obstacle Course, and Disc Dogs Course. From a presentation by the stars of Animal Planet’s hit shows Tanked and Pit Boss to a costume contest and pet first aid tips to volunteer op-portunities and endangered species legislation, you’ll be sure to find something that interests you.

Amazing Expos, producer of the 2015 Phoe-nix Pet Expo, is a St. Louis-based (MO) company with a staff of passionate animal lovers. On any given day, you’ll not only find us hard at work, you’ll see that our pet-friendly office is normally crawling with furry assistants (who often aren’t quite as help-ful as they think they are).

Whether it’s Roxie and Xander, adopted from St. Louis Boxer Rescue, or Enzo, the resident wild child, wet noses and wagging tails are typically in abundance at work. This isn’t just another show to our staff - this is the realization of a dream to help make a difference in communities across the country. We also know that each community has unique needs and we are always looking for feedback and input from participants and attend-ees alike! 1:45PM: What Is BSL And How Can You Help End Breed Discrimination?Kristen Greger, Pinups for PitbullsBreed Specific Legislation (BSL) - often referred to as breed discrimination - refers to laws that target dogs based on how they look rather than their actions. Currently, BSL most often focuses on Pitbull-types, but many cities also target Rottwei-lers, German Shepherds and other large breeds, including dogs that are often described as Pitbull-mixes, when in fact, they have no Pitbull genes at all.
