Julia Quaid of Marshall, Texas, has accepted member-ship in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.Quaid is the granddaughter of Jewell Ammons ofWilson and the late Raymond Ammons,and the late Mr. and Mrs. Buford Quaidof Dillard."NSCS is more than just a symbol ofacademic achievement. Membershipgives students access to a number ofamazing benefits including career andnetworking resources, scholarship, traveland service projects both on campus andin the community," said Stephen Loflin,founder and chief executive officer.NSCS is a member of the Association of CollegeHonor Societies and is the nation's only interdesci-plinary honors organization for first and second-yearcollege students.Membership is by invitation only, based on grade-point average and class standing.
