(concerning foreign aid) “For far too long, we have sent money to countries in hopes that they will promote freedom, democracy and our common interests. Too often, the aid dollars that our government takes from hardworking Americans and sends abroad achieves none of those goals. The sad truth is that American taxpayers have been used to prop up regimes that do not respect freedom of religion, free speech, democracy or respect the rights of other countries to peacefully exist.”

(concerning foreign aid): “To maintain a solid national defense, the United States of America must do three things: we must continue to hold to our beliefs that made us such a great nation in the first place; we must be able to define terror for what it really is, being ready to call out a rogue nation or group that might be engaging in detrimental activity to freedom anywhere in the world, willing to go to any step to eradicate that threat; and we must secure and defend our border as soon and as efficiently as possible.”

From The Website (www.sinema.house.gov): In the Arizona where Kyrsten Sinema grew up, strong schools and tight-knit communities meant opportunity for future generations. The hard-working middle class could get ahead, and government was there to help ensure that opportunity for all who were willing to work hard and play by the rules. Sinema knows firsthand the struggles families face. As someone whose family at times faced serious poverty growing up, she knows what it means to struggle just to meet the most basic needs. For a couple of years, her family lived in an old gas station – a rectangle building with no electricity or running water. Sinema is committed to helping our country return to the values that make America great—the same values that have guided her life so far: hard work, access to public education, fairness and opportunity.
