Students will learn the writing process of pre-writing
the letters of the alphabet.

Significance of lesson:
The activity will help them learn and practice sight words and it creates a beautiful piece of art that they will
like to display. When the kid passes by, we’ll have her say a
word or 2.

Title of the Activity: Thankful Turkeys!
Grade/age: Middle school (may be modified for elementary/high
school)
Approximate time needed to complete lesson: 60 minutes
Significance of lesson:
The thankful turkey idea combines a chance to brain-storm the many things we have to be thankful for and
write one on each “feather”. They have to read and recite it in
class.

Significance of lesson:
The activity will help them develop their creativity and craftsmanship. After creating their greeting card, they
have to read the content of the card to the person whom they
allot to give that card to.
