While it differs greatly between regions, many internet users don’t see internet piracy as wrong. China and Columbia, for example, have extremely high estimated rates of some form of piracy with

internet users.

For the average individual, piracy is not something people think of as important beyond

their personal needs. Most digital music distributed online, for example, is shared illegally.

That digital issue is one that impacts industry beyond the purely digital. On average a single

person has $600 worth of illegally obtained music on their iPod.
