Clay for sculpting (when we sculpt we make sculptures! Get it?). We can also sculpt with other things too, like

wood, paper and cardboard.

Items like cups and bowls and vases made out of clay are called pottery. We use a kiln, which is a special kind of

very very hot stove to fire the clay.

Everything has a place. If you don’t know where something goes…just ask Ms. W. or a friend! Or look

again…I’ll bet you’ll find it.

• Markers and crayons should always be put back in containers after use. Make sure tops are on markers so they don’t dry out!

• Oil and chalk pastels can make a HUGE mess on the floor! So be sure to put them back in their containers when you are done!

• Paints and water always go back to the sink…but wait for Ms. W’s directions so we don’t have a sink traffic jam!

• Scraps of paper can make a mess! They have their own place to live…in a scrap box!
