Faculty Assessment Leader: LadislaoMendozaFaculty Contributing to Assessment:

Semester and Year Assessment Conducted: 2014-15(Spring 2015)Standard Met? : Standard Met48 students participated in the CLC project. No group wasmore than three students, yet each had to do their ownindependent research and collaborate with team membersto form small alliances designed to support each other.

39 students met the 70% standard, 8 students were lowerthan the standard, and one student never completed theresearch nor collaboration with the group.

The method of assessing this SLO seems to be a good one. Ithad the students engaged and on task. It was interesting tosee them meet before and after class to discuss meetingtimes and dates, and getting organized to complete thisproject. The plan should remain as is, and perhaps we canlower the minimum standard in order to include a few morestudents on the "met the Standard" side of the project. 66%seems to be a better number for the standard andaccording to the results from these students, five additionalstudents would have meet the standard. (10/09/2015)

Project - This is a CLC project.Students will research and identifythe type of college degree's requiredfor entry level and advanced levelpositions in each of the 5 majorcareer fields and Internshipopportunities available in Health andFitness, Therapeutic Exercise,Teaching Physical Education,Coaching and Sport Instructions, andSport Management.
