Seaborn Elementary School Assignments through March 20th 1. If your child does not have technology access, paper copies will be available from 9:00am-6:00pm in the office March 17. 2. Check the district website and facebook for updates. 3. Paper assignments can be turned in March 23 from 10:30-1:30 & 24 from 9:00am-6:00pm. If unable, please hold paper assignments until school resumes. 4. Teacher emails are located on the district website. Please contact teachers with any curriculum questions you may have. 5. Students are responsible for the work assigned by their teachers. Failure to complete the work over the mandated time off will have a negative impact on student grades. Seaborn Elementary School   Assignments through March 20th

Art  Art K-5: Hello to all my artists at Seaborn. Okay we are gonna make this happen with  creating artwork at home. All you need to have is a pencil and paper to create a sketch!  

Kinder-3 : Draw a spring flower garden, include lots of butterflies, inchworms, all sorts  of bugs and of course lady bugs.   

Grade 4 : Hi everyone !! We will continue with our sketchbook assignments.   

Sketchbook assignment 7: Design a pair of sunglasses, the sunglasses will be worn by a  jungle animal, the main focal point is the animals face . The sunglass design should  resemble the animal , possibly animal print , animal designs ect…..  

Please use shading light to dark …. no color !!!!   

Use google for ideas if necessary. Please create according to your skill level!!!!   

Grade 5: Hey guys! Heres your art assignment for the week. On your paper draw the  letter of your first name( It should be large !) now make it block/bubble or fancy design.   

The remainder of the paper divide into at least 15-20 sections...a ruler may help to do  this or something with a straight edge you have at home would work. The letter will  remain white however in each of the sections draw a different line design repeated  over and over until that section is filled up. Example….swirls, checkered board,  stripes….you can finish off by tracing your letter with color with any supply you have  or tracing your line designs or just leaving it a sketch.   

GRADE 6 TTH: Continue working on your WARHOL project. Remember to save your  work in Google Drive and Make 4 pictures.

1. Open Pixlr Editor  2. Upload your picture that you saved in your GOOGLE DRIVE  3. Immediately SAVE it under a new name, Warhol Selfie  4. Save it a second time and name it Warhol Selfie Original  5. Go to the Adjustment TAB…. Go to DESATURATE… this will turn your picture to  

Black and White  6. Go to the ADJUSTMENT tab again and click “POSTERIZE”. Choose TONE LEVEL 4.  7. You will now use “polygonal lasso tool” and the “MAGIC WAND TOOL”.  8. Magic wand is pretty straightforward. Select it and then click on the tone level  

that you want to color in. It will select those areas.  9. Once you have selected the desired area… choose the “paint bucket tool.” Once  

you have the “Paint Bucket TOOL selected, move the opacity level down so that  your color goes to SEMI-TRANSPARENT…. choose around 30.  

10. Next you need to choose a color for the area that you selected. Click on the color  box at the bottom of your tools and move your arrow to find your right color.  Click OK  

11. Move the PAINT BUCKET TOOL over the selected area, and click. The area should  fill with color. You can click multiple times and add even more layers of color..  Repeat this process with other areas that you want to see the same color in.   

12. EDIT>UNDO any changes you don’t like.  

You can use the HISTORY to go back or UNDO your work. Email Mrs. Buente

Music/Band (March 16 - 23)  Grades K - 1 Students   Music class is all about using our ears, our singing voices and our hearts. Although  music is very enjoyable in a social situation, it can be a very satisfying experience even  alone. My students are what make music class so amazing and I will be awaiting the  return of your sweet voices!  Our general procedure in class is:  

1. Warm-up our voices (bubbles, slide whistle, propeller) use your imagination!  2. Echo Songs - you lead and have a friend or relative echo you!  3. Simple songs - Frog in the Meadow, Pitter Patter, Down by the Bay, etc  4. Arioso land - use your singing voice to sing about whatever is on your heart!  5. Movement - do some dancing!  6. Fingerplays/Action song - Chop Chop Chippity Chop, Five Little Ladies, Two Little  

Blackbirds, etc  7. Beat Motions - Keep a beat with body percussion or a beat buddy at home while  

listening to your favorite music.  8. Song Tales - Listen to the following songs on YouTube without singing along...Had
