Project description: Casa unifamiliare in Val Seriana

Main architectural ideas: The site is located in a dense forest of oak, chestnut and beech (fagus) trees, having a gorgeous

view to the mountains of Seriana Valley. Thus, the main idea of the project comes from the theme

of “view”: views from the street, from the neighboring houses, from the project, which has a vide

eye open to the outside, enjoying the surrounding landscape and natural environment.

Project description


Il bosco fitto di querce, castagni e faggi e la vista verso le montagne dell’alta valle Seriana hanno costi-

tuito gli elementi di pregio verso i quali orientare lo sguardo di questa casa. Il progetto nasce dal tema

degli sguardi: sguardi di introspezione, dalla strada e dalle case vicine, dai quali tutelarsi; e sguardi aperti

verso l’esterno per godere del pregevole contesto naturale e paesaggistico circostante.

Il lotto è allungato e stretto, edificabile solo a metà essendo la restante parte soggetta a vincolo in quanto

area boschiva. La condizione topografica del terreno, caratterizzato da un’accentuata pendenza con-

diziona in modo significativo la disposizione della casa e il suo orientamento. L’intero piano abitabile si

colloca ad una quota ribassata rispetto al piano strada per consentire una relazione diretta con lo spazio

esterno a prato nell’unica zona dove il terreno è caratterizzato da una morfologia più pianeggiante, cer-

cando di mantenere, per quanto possibile, la presenza delle essenze arboree presenti in loco. L’edificio

è caratterizzato da un volume semplice che si allinea parallelo alla strada e alla geometria del lotto. Il

volume parzialmente incassato nel terreno riduce l’impatto volumetrico verso la via di accesso. Il fronte

strada, orientato verso monte e verso nord appare ermetico e chiuso per garantire un maggior livello di

riservatezza e di isolamento acustico, la chiusura viene enfatizzata da un rivestimento in zinco-titanio. Lo

sguardo principale della casa apre la vista in direzione nord-est con un’ampia vetrata che si sviluppa a

doppia altezza verso il bosco e le montagne. La vegetazione e l’alternarsi delle stagioni rappresentano

il fondale verso il quale guardano gli spazi principali della casa: la cucina, il soggiorno, la camera matri-

moniale ed uno dei bagni. Questo grande “occhio” orientato verso il bosco è protetto da un importante

aggetto di gronda che realizza una zona protetta all’aperto, una terrazza pavimentata in doghe di legno

che costituisce un vero e proprio prolungamento degli spazi d’abitazione verso l’esterno del fabbricato.

Il volume che caratterizza il piano abitabile ed il sottotetto è costruito in parziale aggetto con riferimento

al livello sottostante per denunciare la sua condizione di “sospensione” e di “appoggio” rispetto al ter-

reno esistente..

Lo studio si occupa della progettazione integrata e direzione lavori di edifici civili, residenziali ed

industriali pubblici e privati. Ha esperienza nella progettazione di spazi aperti ed edifici pubblici quali

edifici per lo sport ed il tempo libero; sale convegni e congressi, architettura d’interni e arredamento;

restauro e recupero di edifici di interesse storico; elementi di arredo e di disegno industriale; allestimenti

di mostre e stand espositivi. Il metodo di progettazione e conduzione del lavoro è finalizzato alla ricerca

di un’elevata qualità architettonica, costruttiva, e di corretto inserimento ambientale e paesaggistico per

mezzo di costanti verifiche sul progetto.

Ogni progetto è risolto con l’elaborazione di plastici e modelli informatizzati.

Lo studio si avvale della collaborazione di professionisti interni ed esterni che consentono di affron-

tare al meglio le problematiche specifiche riguardanti gli aspetti tecnici e normativi

The office copes with both the integrated design and the construction supervision of civil, residen-

tial and industrial buildings, being private and public. It has designed open spaces, public buildings for

sports and leisure and conference & congress spaces. It also deals with the restoration and preservation

of historical buildings. It is not only designing the volumes and spaces, but also the interiors and furniture

of the buildings, which can be either the office’s designs or other designs. In addition, the office designs

furnishings and industrial installations for exhibitions and exhibition stands. The method of the design

and the conduct of the work are aimed to find a high quality architecture, construction and correct inser-

tion of environment and landscape through the project.

Each project is designed with a process of physical models and 3D models. Thus, the development

of the project can be seen from the models.

The office relies on the collaboration of internal and external professionals, who can designate the

problems and find solutions to the problems, concerning the design and technical issues.

This is Tugba, an amiable young lady who is in love with art. She studies architecture in Turkey and she

is in Italy for a year with Erasmus program. She has started playing cello since she entered the university.

What a shame to try to have two loves in one heart! One can say that it is not a simple task; thus, she

tries hard to carry out both architecture and music.

She likes playing her beloved cello, writing by candlelight, watching movies and/or reading novels about

the old times, walking under the rain (not a Milanese rain), dreaming, accompanying The Beatles’ songs,

coming across street musicians, cooking and trying new tastes, baking pastries, taking photos, growing

each type of succulent, travelling, hugging trees and columns, smiling in weird conditions, riding a bike

having a basket, trying to dance in the street, smelling coffee and eating chocolate. She has a passion

for pastry shops and she tries hard to prevent herself trying everything when she enters one.

She has a dream of being a street musician, travelling with a caravan and having a little pastry shop that

she will design.
