Oaklands Holiday Park is perfectly placed to experience the very best Essex has to offer. The ever-popular coastal resort of Clacton-on-Sea is just a short drive away where you’ll find all the traditional pleasures of the seaside with a modern twist.

You can visit the famous Clacton Pier and enjoy a huge range of all-weather activities including rides, arcades and ten pin bowling or take a look in the SeaQuarium to discover

sea creatures from the deep. The town is renowned for having some of the best beaches in the UK and there are endless miles of glorious coastline to explore.

The main shopping area of Clacton is home to both famous national chains and independent boutiques as well as a wide variety of bars and restaurants to try out.

There’s also plenty of special events throughout the year including fairs,

fetes, carnivals and the fantastic annual Clacton Air Show in August.

Slightly further afield you’ll find Colchester, the oldest recorded town in Britain with history dating back more than 2000 years.
