Health Screenings Health Screenings play a significant role in early detection and treatment of disease. Atlantic Corporate Health can tailor its screenings to the unique needs of your organization.
By identifying several costly medical conditions, these screenings are designed to stand alone or act as an add-on to your current wellness programming. The health screenings delivered by Atlantic Corporate Health seek to identify health concerns, promote wellness and lead to lifestyle modification.
Highly skilled Atlantic Health System clinicians provide your employees with the screenings you choose to offer. Each employee will be given immediate results, health counseling and follow-up instructions. If necessary, an employee will be referred to a physician.
Screening Measurements: › Blood Glucose is a measure of the sugar in the blood.
Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugars, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. This screening measures the body’s ability to release insulin to metabolize the glucose in the bloodstream.
› Blood Pressure is the force of the blood pushing against the walls of the arteries. It can rise when a person is excited, nervous or active. When the level stays elevated over time, the condition is high blood pressure (hypertension).
› Body Composition refers to the proportion of fat and fat-free mass in the body. Also, a Body Mass Index (BMI) is calculated. These numbers assess health risk. (Biometric screening only)
› Cholesterol (Fasting/Non-Fasting) is a fat-like substance in blood. This blood test measures the amount of total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and TC/HDL ratio of non-fasting individuals. In addition to these results, fasting individuals also yield both low-density lipoprotein (LDL) as well as triglycerides.

International Travel MedicineTravel MD® services protect employees against native disease while on international business or personal expedition. International travelers often need immunizations to protect against various diseases that could be contracted during their trip. Due to the delay of some immunization effectiveness, it is optimal to schedule your appointment at least four weeks prior to travel. Travelers also benefit from supplementary advice regarding necessary precautions to avoid illness.
Using the most current information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and the International Association for Medical Assistance to Travelers, Travel MD® provides pre-travel and consultative services, as well as a detailed list of information and necessities, including:
Immunizations Travel MD® is an authorized yellow fever vaccination center, and offers a wide range of other immunizations and individual counseling on recommended vaccinations.
