Dedicated to helping operators, infrastructure providers, and tower companies realize enormous efficiencies and cost reduction, while improving wireless network quality

Jamie M. Abbgy, Esq.

Principal

Jamie is a magna cum laude graduate of The Valparaiso University School

of Law ’00, and a graduate of Vanderbilt University ’89 with a BS in Human

Development, where he was the starting first baseman on the baseball

team. He is a member of the Michigan Bar and Indiana Bar, and has

experience in every area of wireless site development including project

director/manager, zoning, leasing, and candidate selection. As an attorney,

he understands and is careful to protect the interests of SMJ International’s

clients, while balancing that with the client’s desire to get the deal done. He

has successfully directed site development projects for all of the major

carriers including Sprint, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, as well as all of the

major tower companies in the US. He has also worked in Canada on

significant wireless site development projects in the Province of Ontario.

Lee Burlison

Lee is a graduate of Central Michigan University. He began his real estate

career thereafter working as a leasing and right –of- way agent for several

energy and communication development firms in the Midwest. Lee is a past

owner/partner of several real estate development firms specializing in

commercial and industrial properties. He has also served as a senior

executive within the telecommunication industry directing projects

throughout the US and serving in varying business development roles. He

is a past municipal mayor, chairperson of a local planning/zoning

commission, past member of Michigan Municipal League, Michigan Mayors

Association, EDC, and DDA. His years of experience in real estate, zoning,

and the political arena provide our clients with the requisite information in

their respective projects. Lee is an managing partner in SMJ International

LLC, LAB Architects LLC, Structural Engineering Solutions LLC, and

Atomic LLC.

Erik P. Neitzel, IEEE WCP

Principal

Erik has extensive lifecycle experience in mobile wireless networks, most

recently as VP of Regional Deployment for Mobilitie LLC. Erik spent 15

years at U.S. Cellular as Director of Systems Planning and

Implementation/Distinguished Member of Technical Staff and Network

Architect, where he served as the company’s subject matter expert for

Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture and technology. During his

tenure, he spearheaded teams responsible for executing all major

engineering technology initiatives from research and development to

systems implementation and operationalization, including next-generation

wireless network upgrades and deployments (LTE, heterogeneous

networks, SON), billing systems integration and release development

testing, and mobile core network infrastructure and application servers

(VoLTE/RCS, IP-VM, 4G roaming), translating strategic business objectives

into final design and network implementation. He holds a M.S. in

Information Technology from Northwestern University and a B.S. from

Regents College, and has been an IEEE Member since 2003. Erik is a

veteran of the U.S. Navy and holds a patent in wireless
