Caria, Bellocco, Zambon, et al. (2009) found that the daily use of snus among Swedish adolescents, traditionally low, in recent years showed rising trends.

Horn, Gao, Dino, and Kamal-Bahl (2000) found information leading to the conclusion that there is a definite need to focus on the cessation efforts of youths. In detail, emphasizing different factors or issues for different tobacco use categories.

Nelson, Mowery, Tomar, et al. (2006) wrote an article suggesting that ongoing prevention and cessation efforts are needed in order to reduce smokeless tobacco use among adolescents.
