A wonderful assemblySergeant Vivian Arthur Whiteley was born 3rd October 1921 in Hobart Tasmania, enlisted with the RAAF 20th May 1940, discharged 7th Feb 1946. 713 WWII Pair; War Medal and ASM impressed to Q71002 T.R.Browne with his Warrant Offi cer badge; plus interesting research about this fellow who claimed to his death that he had been awarded a DCM and MM at Gallipoli in WWIOffi cial records indicate that Thomas Royston Browne enlisted as Private number 5046 with 4th Bn 16th Reinforcements 11th Jan 1916 after service in the CMF and was twice wounded in action, RTA 2nd Jan 1919. Due to his CMF service he was awarded the 1914-15 Star, along with the BWM and Victory Medal. He was the offi cial treasurer and foundation member of the Interstate and New Zealand Units Assn where he served for 35 years Est. $125
