Dear Sir,Iam glad to inform you that our Annamalai University Engineering and Technology Alumni Association (AUETAA) is celebrating its 5'th Convention at Hotel Feathers, Chennai on the 8'th and 9'th of July2017. The previous Convention which took place at Singapore in 2014 was a roaring success, in addition to three conducted by AUETAA Chennai. We wish to follow those lines for the present 5th Convention. Our Alumni association was formed on the 2'nd of October 1975 and the Values we follow are Honesty, Sincerity and Dedication. Since the time of inception AUETAA has been a platform for connecting fellow alumnus to connecting to others globally for Education, Employment and Entrepreneurship besides being socially responsible by taking care of the underprivileged. We have our alumni occupying top positions in the Government, Public sector and large private companies besides hundreds of Auetaan's who are entrepreneurs and represent/have different types of industries from paper, glass, petrochemical, automobile, IT, Chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, shipping, Construction and many more, not only in Chennai / India but in Singapore, U.S and Middle East besides other countries. Second Marriage1968 Annamalai University Electrical Graduates along with their spouses attended the fifth successive get together meet at Kumarkom Kerala on 24th,25th and 26th Feb 2017. About 25 families ie. around 52 members participated in the meet arranged at Lake Song Resort at Kumarakom. Mr. S.T. Ramanathan 1969 Electrical Batch and Dr.V. Jaganathan,1968 Electrical came all the way from U.S.A and attended for the first time. Since 24th Feb was Mahasivaratri day everybody visited nearby famous Shiva Temple at Vaikkam. The Backwaters Boat riding and native cultural programmes like Kalari, Mohiniyattam and Kathakali were enjoyed by everybody. All felt that the whole programme was very enjoyable and rejuvenative. All the male participants are near 70 years. For Hindus 60th,70th &80 th birthdays are important event in their life. For all of us Mr P. Balasubramanian, 69 M gave a surprise by arranging simple second marriage (of course with the same wife) without Prohits & Mangalasutra. Every one is eagerly waiting for the 2018 meet which will be our 50th year After graduation
I am very proud to inform you that our S. Ramkumar, 81 E&E did a magnificent job at the Theosophical Society yesterday when thePresident Shri Pranab Mukherjee and the Governor Shri Vidyasagar Rao had come. The visit was in celebration of thecentenary year of the Women's Indian association. It was startedin the Theosophical Society by Dr. Annie Besant 100 years back.

Ramkumar coordinated with the Commissioner of police, DC, Ad.C,J.C, AC and hundreds of police personnel, senior officers from PWD,BSNL, Corporation, Highways, Doordarshan, Press, Electrical Inspectorate to make it a grand success. Since the President of theTheosophical Society, Mr. Tim Boyd was away in the U.S thecomplete responsibility of managing the programme was taken care of by Ramkumar. We wish him and the great institution heis representing well. Thanks Muthu
