It is such an honor to welcome you to attend and participate in up-coming the 11th Asian Society Against Dementia (ASAD) as the Joint Conference “Fighting Against Dementia 2017” on August 2-4, 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand. The conference is jointly hosted by Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, the Dementia Association of Thailand and Department of Medical Service, Ministry of Public Health.

We strongly believe that the conference will be an important stepping stone for ASAD members and all participants to confront the challenges of this arduous, demanding and devastating condition. Dementia is one of the major causes of disability and dependency worldwide. It is overwhelming not only for the people who have it, but also for their caregivers and families including healthcare and socioeconomic security. In terms of prevention, treatment that can modify the disease and care, knowledge and innovative develop-ment as well as effective resource management have been developing but not yet completely inclusive.

This conference will bring up internationally academic information and knowledge, provide a great opportunity for strengthening collaboration and experience sharing by the renowned speakers from all over the world. We are proud to convene one of the best ever scientific and social programs in this conference. We hope it can initiate promising dementia research and comprehensive knowledge for tackling dementia in real practice. Thailand as one of the most visited countries in the world has offered convenient ways for visitors to come, in particular for those who are from ASIAN countries that usually eligible for VISA waiver program. Dear delegates, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, the Dementia Association of Thailand together with the Department of Medical Service, Ministry of Public Health and under the auspices of Asian Society Against Dementia (ASAD) is going to host the Joint Conference ‘Fighting Against Dementia 2017’ during August 2-4, 2017 at The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, Bangkok, Thailand.

The Dementia Association of Thailand plays the important role in promoting the latest information of medical practices, treatments and innovation on Dementia for the highest benefit of our patients. The program of the conference will cover from state of the arts to the advanced medical technologies and techniques. There are many world authorities to share their experience and knowledge. This conference is not only a stage of sharing, this is also a stage of networking and friendship.
