Thank you all so much for entrusting your children to me this school year. I know it is going to be an amazing year filled with excitement, fun, and lots of learning. I am really looking forward to getting to know each of your children this year, and having an impact on each and everyone of them. I love my job, and it could not be possible without each and everyone of you. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions, issues, or concerns throughout the year. You can reach me by email or by phone. Both are listed at the top of each newsletter. If you are interested in volunteering at the school, in the classroom, or on field trips, there is a new process for this school year. All volunteers will now have to register online with the district by going to www.okaloosaschools.com and selecting the green “Volunteers Apply Here!” button. You will also have to attend a volunteer training. These trainings will beheld at Kenwood on Wed. Aug. 17 th at 8:45am, 12:00pm, and 5:00 pm. Please complete the online application prior to attending one of these trainings.

If you are interested in volunteering at the school, in the classroom, or on field trips, there is a new process for this school year. Math: We will begin to work with Chapter 9 in Math. We will be working with graphing in this chapter. Students will learn how to read graphs, collect data, and display data in graphs.

Social Studies: Last week we started to discusses rules. We will continue to discuss rules, in the classroom and in society. We will also discuss the importance of being a good citizen. This is all part of out S.S. unit.
