Missions Appeal Weekend ~ Aug. 29—30
We Welcome Fr. Paul Eruva The Diocese of Nellore is a mission diocese. It is
located on the south east coast of the Bay of Bengal in
South India. The total population of the diocese is 5.5
million and the Catholic population is 85,000. The diocese
is often hit by hurricanes and tornados. Agriculture is the
main occupation, but 95% of the Catholics are poor,
landless laborers. There are 80 parishes in the diocese;
not one of them is self-sustaining. As a mission diocese,
it depends solely on others for support.
From Fr. Kevin:
This years’ Madison Priest Golf Outing will be after
Labor Day. If you would like to make a donation, by
Sep. 6, towards golf prizes it would be greatly appreciated.
Make checks payable to “Fr. Kevin Dooley”
with “MPGA” on memo line.
THANKS AND GOD BLESS YOU!!
