Testimonials

“In 2012, the Ferienmesse Bern gave us an opportu-nity to showcase Egypt as the host country to a wider audience. We had many personal conversa-tions with interested visitors, and were very happy with the positive feedback.”Mohamed Kenawy, Director of the Egyptian Tourist Office, Zürich

“The Ferienmesse Bern has been one of our most important marketing activities for many years. As a specialized tour operator, the fair is an ideal platform for presenting ourselves directly and per-sonally to potential customers. With the new exhi-bition halls, the Ferienmesse Bern has become even more attractive for both exhibitors and visitors.”Dominic Eckert, Managing Director Dreamtime Travel

“On the occasion of our host-country presence with Costa Rica under the name of the Latino Travel at FESPO 2012, we experienced the full force that can be generated by a comprehensive trade fair appearance. The attractive stand in the style of a rainforest, the highly motivated team made up of our own employees and partners from Costa

Rica, the well-attended lectures and the various supporting measures were a recipe for success with which we were able to generate consid-erably more interest and bookings than we had ever expected.”Madeleine Rüegg-Weiss,Head of Latin America, Knecht Reisen AG, Aarau

“We always try to keep our ears as close as possible to our customers. It was therefore clear to us that, in the 4th year of our successful activities in Switzerland, we should also have a personal presence there, and talk to typical Swiss people about their travel interests and wishes. We learned a great deal at FESPO 2012 once again, and were

almost overwhelmed by the positive feedback we received from our customers on our stand!”Franz Gredler, Sales Manager Eurotours/B2C and Project Manager ALDI SUISSE TOURS

“Le salon des vacances, voyages & loisirs in Geneva is a real opportunity for Tunisia to promote our desti-nation, and to listen to the wishes of people who would like to take a holiday in our warm country. We will also be present at this important get-together in 2013, to remind our hosts about the beauty of our fine sandy beaches, the diversity of our cultural

heritage, our long experience and know-how in the area of Thalasso therapy and our golf courses that have been designed by experts.”Anis Rezegui, Director of the Tunisian National Tourist Office in Switzerland

“Our presence at the Salon Vacances et Loisirs (Holi-day and Leisure Fair) in Geneva has been repeated over a number of years. For a multi-specialized tour operator like ourselves, it is always a new opportu-nity to renew contacts with our loyal customer base, and to strengthen our links to our partners. We pro-vide ourselves with an adequate space to promote

and communicate our future projects and our new destinations. See and be seen, test the temperature of the market, but also ensure the visibility of our product and maintain our brand as far as possible.” Mohamed Khadraoui, Sales & Marketing Manager, Air Marin Suisse S.A.

“The Basler Ferienmesse provides the ideal plat-form for bringing our company and our services closer to an interested public. When participating, we very deliberately look for proximity to, and con-tact with the visitors, and we look forward to inter-esting discussions in which we can offer our poten-tial customers information about the world of

travel. After every Ferienmesse, we note with satisfaction that we have once again been able to gain new customers. In very many cases, these also develop into regular customers.”Christian Cuérel, SwissExpress FerienInsel AG

“For many years now, the Basler Ferienmesse has been our annual appearance at holiday fairs in German-speaking Switzerland. There, we are able to excellently present ourselves in one of the larg-est economic areas of Switzerland as a specialist for travel in South and Eastern Africa, and can pro-vide an interested public with travel tips.”

Why it pays off for you as an exhibitor

Lots of things are communicated nowadays by Email, Skype or Chats. These have clearly replaced the origi-nal written exchange of information, and hand-written correspondence. It is interesting to observe that even the spoken word often has to give way to a text.

Everyone has probably already sent a text message (SMS) in order to avoid a telephone call. Moods and feelings can be conveniently masked in this way. But it’s exactly the emotions that bring a communication to life, and that make an exchange more transparent.

The travel market in particular lives from emotions, and on the exchange of information between customer, partners and competitors. The holiday fairs take this into account, and are thereby indispensable meeting platforms.

As an exhibitor, you can make use of the holiday fairs in Bern, Geneva, Zurich and Basle to address your customers and partners directly, and to keep your finger on the pulse.
