My World è puro confort, ma esprime una familiarità elegante, una naturalezza a�ettuosa e sobria che si spoglia di tutto, ma non di ciò che è ben fatto e ben pensato. Così, le cuciture a vista sono l'unico ornamento che si concede, a sottolineare la bellezza di volumi semplicissimi, su cui i rivestimenti cadono come abiti ampi e comodi. Philippe Starck edifica intorno a questo spazio di privatissima quiete un'industriosa minicittà. Tavolini e tavolinetti, contenitori, paraventi e pouf con cassetti: oggetti di servizio in materiali pregiati, dedicati all'intrattenimento, allo studio, al lavoro. Welcoming, snug, seductive. My World embraces the concept of comfort while expressing warm informality and understated elegance having shed itself of everything unnecessary apart from clever design and excellent craftsmanship. The visible stitching is the only nod to embellishment and serves to highlight the simple beauty of the shapes that seem to be draped in loose-fitting clothes. Philippe Starck creates an industrious town to surround this area of peaceful quiet. Side tables, boxes, screens and a pouf with drawers: functional items in high quality materials to be used for entertaining, studying or working. This collection suggests that a personal area should instil a sense of protection with all the components working in harmonious balance.

Gemütlich, behaglich, idyllisch. My World ist purer Komfort, aber zugleich von vertrauter Eleganz, wohliger Natürlichkeit und einfach, kann auf seine Hülle, nicht aber auf sein perfekt gemachtes und erdachtes Wesen verzichten. Die augenfälligen Nähte sind die einzige Zier, die es sich gönnt, um die Schönheit seiner dezenten Formen zu betonen, auf denen sich die Bezüge wie weite bequeme Kleider abzeichnen. O il diverso colore che si può scegliere fra interno ed esterno, a esprimere una duplice natura. It has the bourgeois soul of a classic French bergère and the ergonomic design of an astronaut’s seat; the informal intimacy of a cosy English domestic scene and the quiet tranquillity of a spaceship as it travels through outer space. A subtle interaction between tradition and change as suggested by the skilful design of the front and back legs expressing a delicate balance between rushing forward and holding back; or the option of choosing di�erent colours for the inside and out to express its dualistic nature. Patrick Norguet conceived the P22 to express both the future and the past, a refined piece that can be used as a small, comfortable throne, or a poetic celestial cradle, encouraging the mind and the body to reflect on a past filled with memories and a future filled with the promise of discovery.

Seine DNA birgt die klassischen Merkmale einer Bergère und die Ergonomie eines Raumfahrtsessels, die Intimität eines typisch englischen, informalen, eleganten Wohnambientes und die Stille eines im Weltraumblau schwebenden Raumschi�es in sich. Das ist eine feinsinnige Wechselbeziehung zwischen Tradition und Veränderung, die das Resultat eines wohl durchdachten Designs ist. Immaginate un foglio che, piegato, curvato, modellato da mani abili, attraverso pieni e vuoti prenda, a sorpresa, una forma. Luca Nichetto spiega il concetto di sedia a partire da un foglio di feltro sintetico: seduta, schienale e fianchi sono ottenuti da una sistema di pieghe e tagli che articolano proporzioni, curve, volumi. La scocca leggera e geometrica è sostenuta da gambe slanciate, in legno o metallo. Il risultato è un oggetto dal carattere spiccato: comodo, funzionale, bello. Se, come ha detto qualcuno, la semplicità è la soluzione di un problema complesso, Motek, è la semplicità fatta sedia.

Imagine a sheet that is folded, bent and moulded by dexterous hands to create a surprise shape by the clever juxtaposition of solids and voids. Luca Nichetto interprets the concept of a chair by starting from a sheet of synthetic felt: the seat, back and sides are obtained through a system of folds and cuts that map out the proportions, folds and volumes. The light, geometrical frame is supported by slender legs in wood or metal. The result is a chair marked by a strong personality: comfortable, functional and elegant. If a complex problem can be solved by a simple solution, Motek is simplicity in a chair.

Man stelle sich ein gefaltetes, gebogenes, von fähigen Händen geformtes Blatt vor, das über Fülle und Leere überraschend Form annimmt. Luca Nichetto konzipiert seinen Stuhl beginnend bei einem Blatt aus synthetischem Filz: Sitzkissen, Rückenlehne und Seiten entstehen aus einem System von Falten und Schnitten, die Proportionen, Kurven und Volumen bilden. Das leichte, geometrisch geformte Gestell ruht auf schlanken Beinen aus Holz oder Metall. All dies ergibt einen Gegenstand mit klar geprägtem Charakter: bequem, zweckmäßig, schön. Wenn - wie jemand sagte - die Einfachheit die Lösung eines komplexen Problems ist, so ist Motek die Einfachheit, die zum Stuhl wird.

Luca Nichetto explique le concept de chaise à partir d'une feuille de feutre synthétique : assise, dossier et côtés sont obtenus par un système de plis et de découpes qui articulent proportions, courbes et volumes. La coque légère et géométrique est soutenue par des pieds fuselés, en bois ou métal. Le résultat donne un objet au caractère tranché: pratique, fonctionnel, beau. Si, comme l'a dit quelqu'un, la simplicité est la solution à un problème complexe, Motek, c'est la simplicité incarnée en chaise.

Gli oggetti di Franco Albini sono letterari. Basta uno sguardo e cominciano a raccontare: che una libreria è un vascello, una chaise longue una slitta, un tavolino un fenicottero. Che una poltrona è un mezzo di trasporto per sognatori e che un tavolo tocca la superficie terrestre con la stessa grazia di una navicella che appoggi per la prima volta sulla schiena della luna. Il tavolo è TL3, riproposto oggi in una versione che del progetto originale rispetta lo spirito aereo. Quello stare a mezz'aria del piano, librato su quattro gambe a�usolate: leggerezza contro forza gravità. Una sfida strutturale con radici profonde in una sapienza concreta e in un'esperienza tutta artigianale. Poiché, come Albini sapeva, niente è più reale dell'utopia e nulla più serio del gioco.

Franco Albini’s designs are literary. One glance is enough to create storytales: that a bookcase is a ship, a chaise longue a sleigh and a side table a flamingo. An armchair is a vehicle on which dreamers can travel, and a table touches the surface of the earth with the same grace as a spaceship lands on the moon for the first time. This is the TL3 table, reintroduced as a version that reflects the aerial spirit of the original project. That top surface that seems to be suspended in mid-air, hovering on four tapered legs: lightness resisting the gravitational pull. A structural challenge solved by expertise born of long experience and true craftsmanship. As Albini knew, nothing is more real than utopia and nothing is more serious than play.

Franco Albinis Gegenstände sind literarische Werke. Ein Blick genügt und sie erzählen uns, dass ein Bücherregal ein Schi� ist, eine Chaiselongue ein Schlitten ist, ein Tisch ein Flamingo ist. Oder auch, dass ein Sessel ein Transportmittel für Träumer ist und ein Tisch den Erdboden mit derselben Anmut berührt wie ein Raumschi� zum ersten Mal auf dem Mond aufsetzt. Der Tisch ist das Modell TL3 in einer Neugestaltung, die der Leichtheit des ursprünglichen Projektes genüge tut. Die Tischplatte scheint auf vier schlanken Beinen in der Luft zu schweben: Leichtheit gegen Schwerkraft. Eine Herausforderung an die Konstruktion, die im konkreten Wissen und in der rein handwerklichen Erfahrung verankert ist. Denn Albini wusste sehr wohl, dass nichts realer als die Utopie und nichts ernsthafter als das Spiel ist.

Un regard su·it pour qu'ils commencent à raconter une belle histoire: celle d'une librairie qui est un vaisseau, une chaise longue un traîneau, une table basse un phénicoptère ; celle d'un fauteuil qui est un moyen de transport pour faire voyager les rêveurs et celle d'une table qui vient au contact de la surface terrestre avec la même grâce qu'une nacelle qui se pose pour la première fois sur le dos de la lune. Cette table, c'est TL3, reproposée aujourd'hui dans une version qui respecte l'esprit aérien du projet original. Un plateau suspendu en l'air, qui semble planer sur quatre pieds fuselés: légèreté contre force de gravité. Un défi structurel aux racines profondes fondé sur un savoir concret et sur une expérience tout artisanale. Albini le savait bien : rien n'est plus réel que l'utopie et rien n'est plus sérieux que le jeu.

Il più aristocratico fra i tavoli si sperimenta fuori dalla perfezione cromatica di una tinta d'ombra e da quella luminosa del cristallo. Con quella classe, quella misura, del resto, può permettersi quel che vuole. Per esempio, la matericità del legno naturale, come il noce, per il piano. Il risultato è che LC12, in questa nuova versione, sembra esistere da sempre. Il respiro tranquillo della materia naturale, il suo tatto caldo e amichevole lo rendono più familiare, immediato, schietto. E se possibile ancora più perfetto: una superficie che si legge come uno spazio intonso, come una piazza sospesa e silenziosa.

This most aristocratic of tables explores new horizons that extend beyond the chromatic perfection of shadowy colours and luminous glass. However, its inherent class means that it can a�ord to take this type of risk. For example, the choice of the wood, walnut, for the table surface. The result is so natural that this new version of the LC12 seems to have always been around. The understated restraint of wood and its warm, friendly touch makes the table seem more familiar and genuine. It seems to be even more perfect than before: a surface that can be interpreted as a pristine area like a noiseless piazza.

Der exklusivste aller Tische geht abenteuerliche Wege jenseits der Perfektion einer Schattenfarbe und des strahlenden Kristalls. Mit seiner Klasse und Größe kann er sich alles leisten, zum Beispiel die Materialität der Naturholzart, wie Nussbaum, für die Tischplatte. So scheint es, als hätte es den LC12 seit eh und je in dieser neuen Variante gegeben. Die vom natürlichen Material ausgestrahlte Ruhe und angenehme Wärme beim Kontakt lassen ihn vertrauter, reiner, schlichter werden. Und vielleicht wird er damit auch perfekter: eine Fläche, die wie ein unberührter Raum, wie ein stiller, schwebender Platz wirkt.

The petite size, purity of colour and understated structure and materials all coalesce into this jewel of a writing desk. It was designed to create minimum fuss and provide a quiet refuge to gather one’s thoughts. A quiet, cloistered place to accommodate time spent writing or reading. The intersection of the diagonal metal tubing legs beneath the metal table top looks almost dignified: a soft, elegant pose showing its innate talent for beauty.

Dieser kleine Sekretär mit seiner farblichen Reinheit, der sauber gestalteten Konstruktion und seinen reinen Materialien ist ein echtes Schmuckstück. Er ist ein Gegenstand, der sich mit Zurückhaltung ins Wohnambiente eingliedert und zur Meditation und zum Nachdenken gescha�en wurde, eine stille, zurückgezogene Gestalt, die für den Zeitraum einer Schreib- und Lesepause erdacht wurde. Una poltrona sobria, che si rifà al tradizionale modello di bergère, ma che sfodera tutta la sua attualità collocandosi con nonchalance nel corollario delle proposte della collezione Cassina iContemporanei. Un piacevole connubio di confort e tradizione. Scocca in poliuretano schiumato e telaio in ferro con cinghiature elastiche; basamento in fusione di alluminio lucido oppure verniciato nero opaco, marrone castagno e grigio beige. Il rivestimento è in tessuto o in pelle sfoderabile tramite cerniere lampo cucite nel rivestimento.La poltrona è accompagnata da un poggiapiedi per un maggior confort. This armchair tweaks the traditional design to nonchalantly assert itself as an updated successor to the bergère and form an addition to the Cassina i Contemporanei collection. An agreeable union of comfort and tradition.The shell is in foam with an iron frame and elastic seat straps; base in polished aluminium alloy or matte black, chestnut brown or beige-grey painted. There is a zip sewn into the fabric or leather upholstery making it easily removable. A footrest accompanies the armchair for greater comfort. Colours can even be personalised with the option of choosing di�erent fabric and leather set combinations for the internal and external parts, according to specific patterns.

Una poltrona sobria, che si rifà al tradizionale modello di bergère, ma che sfodera tutta la sua attualità collocandosi con nonchalance nel corollario delle proposte della collezione Cassina i Contemporanei. Un piacevole connubio di confort e tradizione. Scocca in poliuretano schiumato e telaio in ferro con cinghiature elastiche; basamento in fusione di alluminio lucido oppure verniciato nero opaco, marrone castagno e grigio beige. Il rivestimento è in tessuto o in pelle sfoderabile tramite cerniere lampo cucite nel rivestimento.La poltrona è accompagnata da un poggiapiedi per un maggior confort. Una caratteristica che rende ancor più particolare la poltrona, è la possibilità di avere combinazioni di�erenti di tessuti e pelli per le parti interne ed esterne, secondo uno schema preordinato.

This armchair tweaks the traditional design to nonchalantly assert itself as an updated successor to the bergère and form an addition to the Cassina i Contemporanei collection. An agreeable union of comfort and tradition.The shell is in foam with an iron frame and elastic seat straps; base in polished aluminium alloy or matte black, chestnut brown or beige-grey painted. There is a zip sewn into the fabric or leather upholstery making it easily removable. A footrest accompanies the armchair for greater comfort. Colours can even be personalised with the option of choosing di�erent fabric and leather set combinations for the internal and external parts, according to specific patterns.
