    CJSOTF conducts Special Operations (SO)

    NLT 15 Jun 2012 in Joint Operations Area

    (JOA) Caspian IOT deter Ahuristan (AH)

    attack and if deterrence fails, defeat AHforces in Azerbaijan (AZ) IOT restore the

    integrity of the international border.

    CJSOTF CDRs Intent

    Purpose: SOF will attempt to set conditions that will prevent

    offensive actions of AH, if AH attacks AZ then SOF will facilitate

    integrated operations between AZ forces and coalition forces

    through CST. SOF will conduct SR/DA IOT neutralize AH HVTs

    (TBM) threats while assisting AZ forces in securing rear areas from

    SAPA threats.

    Key Task:

    COIN/CST/FID, IOT facilitate legitimacy of AZ forces in

    defending their homeland

    SO/CT/CMO, IOT provide a safe & secure region in AZ

    SR/DA, IOT neutralize TBM threat from AH

    PR/CSAR, IOT repatriate separated U.S. personnel

    End State: Secure, stable, & legitimate AZ government
