Bacopa is a perennial growing to 20 in (50 cm). It grows in a warm and tropical climate, especially in southern Asia. It thrives in marshland, developing into dense mats on mudflats and at the edges of mangrove swamps.
Medicinal Actions and Uses: It has been primarily used for nervous system disorders, such as neuralgia, epilepsy and mental illness. Bacopa is also used for other disorders and conditions including indigestion, ulcers, gas and constipation, asthma and bronchitis, and infertility. Ayurveda research suggests Bacopa improves mental function and memory.
