The third quarter of the academic session 2019-20 was an ‘academic and

scholastic development session. This session was gainful as usual with lots of

exposures to cadets, official visits, sports activities etc. It was full of fruitful

learning in various areas, Pen Paper Test III/Unit Test III, Inter House Cultural

Competition, Inter House GK Quiz Competition, Annual Day & Exhibition,

NCC Camp, Celebration of Armed Forces Days (Air Force Day & Navy Day),

Selection of cadets in UPSC NDA/NA Exam etc kept the cadets and the staff on

the cloud nine. The contentment gave delight to all. Everything was worth

gaining. We firmly believe in mantra that ‘Never stop learning because life

never stops teaching’. We aim to achieve greater heights in academic and Co

scholastic areas.

Pen Paper Test III/Unit Test III

Pen Paper Test III (classes VI to X) and Unit Test III (classes XI to XII) were

conducted from 10 to 16 Dec 2019. The duration was 1 hour for the classes VI

to VIII and the maximum marks were 30 whereas the duration for classes IX to

XII was 2 hours and the maximum marks were 50. Mr Mayura Joshi Exam I/C

Sainik School Balachadi briefed the academic staff for the smooth functioning

of the Pen Paper Test III/Unit Test III.

GAMES & SPORTS

IPSC Athletic Meet

56th

IPSC Athletic Meet was organized from 14 to 16 Oct 2019 at Punjab Public

School Nabha, Punjab. Four cadets, Cdt Ranveer Nandan (5676), Cdt Yogesh

Kumar(5839),Cdt Krishna Gopal (5818) and Cdt Aman Pratap (5918)

participated in this athletic meet. The team was escorted by ward boy

Dharamveer Sinh. Cdt Krishna Gopal (5818 ) of Angre House got 1st position

in 1500 mtrs & 3000 mtrs trial in Under 17 category whereas Cdt Aman Pratap

of SP House bagged 1st position in 800 mtrs trial in Under 17 category. The

Principal congratulated the team for bringing laurels to the school.

Khel Mahakumbh State Level Football Tournament U 14 (Boys)

Sainik School Balachadi Football team U 14(Boys) brought laurels to school as

the team of 16 cadets participated in State Level Football Tournament U 14

(Boys) from 20 to 23 Oct 2019 held at Gandhinagar International Public

School,Randheja Gandhinagar Gujarat.The team was escorted by Ward Boy Mr

Chhatrapal Vaghela. Sainik School Balachadi bagged the I position by winning

three medals in all three categories; I SSB Jamnagar V/S Valsad,

II SSB Jamnagar V/S Baroda & III SSB Jamnagar V/S Anand and grabbed

the State Level Football Championship U 14 (Boys). 11 cadets were selected

for the National Level Football Tournament U 14 (Boys) that was held in

Imphal, Manipur. Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal congratulated the team on

its victorious arrival. Sainik School Balachadi won State Level Football

Championship U 14 (Boys). This tournament gave a good exposure to the

cadets.

NCC Camp at Sainik School Balachadi

NCC Camp was organized from 01 to 10 Nov 2019 at Sainik School Balachdi.

153 cadets of our school from classes X & XI participated in this camp. Lt Cdr

Jatin Kanwal was the Camp Commandant. A total of 475 cadets participated in

the camp. During the camp a lot of activities such as PT,NCC Prayer, Firing,

Drill Competition, Parade Competition, GK Quiz Competition and Cultural

Evening were organized. Firing Session was conducted by PI Staff Sub Ratan

Singh and Hav Indrajeet Singh. On the last day of the camp Group Commander

KS Mathur was the Chief Guest of the Closing Ceremony. The Chief Guest

gave away the certificates of participation to the cadets who completed the

Camp successfully.

Inter House Obstacle Competition

Inter House Obstacle competition was organized on 22 Nov 2019. Mr BK Jha

event I/C briefed the participating teams. All the six senior houses Tagore

House, Garuda House, SP House, Shivaji House, Angre House, and Pratap

House participated with full excitement. SP House bagged the I position and

Garuda House bagged the II position without any penalty. The II position was

bagged by Tagore House. The Chief Guest Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal

of the school congratulated winning houses and appreciated the true

sportsmanship exhibited by the participating houses during the obstacle

competition.

Inter House Cross Country Race

Inter House Cross Country Race for Classes VI to XII was organized on 01

Dec, 2019. The Cross Country Race was organized in three categories i.e

Category A (Classes IX-XII) Category B (Classes VII –VIII) & Category C

(Fresher Houses). Gp Cpt Ravinder Singh, Principal Sainik School Balachadi

flagged off the race for the contestants. On this occasion Lt Cdr Manu Arora

Vice Principal, Senior master and all the staff members were present.

The Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the winners. The house positions of

Inter House Cross Country Race are as follow. Angre House I with 18.17 Point,

SP House II with 16.28 Points, Pratap House III with 16.05 Points, Tagore

House IV with 16.00 Points, Shivaji House V with 15.70 Points & Garuda

House VI with 15.38 Points whereas, in Freshers Nehru House won the Inter

House Cross Country Race by 163 points.

Annual Athletic Meet 2019

Annual Athletic Meet 2019 was organized from 04 to 06 Dec 2019 in athletic

ground. All the six senior houses Tagore House, Garuda House, SP House,

Shivaji House, Angre House, Pratap House and two Fresher Houses Nehru

House and Shastri House participated with enormous zeal and enthusiasm.

Event I/C Mr BK Jha briefed all the staff, House Masters and school appointees

for the smooth functioning of the event. A co-ordinating conference was also

conducted on 28 Nov 2019 in the conference hall. The conference was presided

by the Chief Guest Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal Sainik School Balachadi

and Lt Cdr Manu Arora,Vice Principal of the school.

The Guest of Honour and the first lady of the campus Mrs Sonia Singh unveiled

the Mascot ‘Puffy’. The Chief Guest Gp Cpt Ravinder Singh declared the meet

open on 04 Dec 2019. On the day of opening ceremony the Torch of Light was

led by school sports captain Cdt Rohan Singh (5553) an awardee of the Best

Sportsman of the year 2018-19. The Jury of Appeal was constituted by Principal

as Chairman of the Jury, Vice Principal Member I of the Jury, Senior Master

Member II, Sports I/C Member III & PTI as Member IV of the Jury. Various

events were organized on this occasion such as Disc Throw, Shot Put, Relay

Race, Long Jump, Hurdle Race, Three-Legged Race, Slow Cycling Race etc.

On the closing day of the Annual Athletic Meet 2019 Brg RK Magotra

Deputy Director General NCC Directorate Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Dadar & Nagar

Haveli, Daman & Diu was the Chief Guest and Mrs Shalini Magotra was the

Guest of Honor. Gp Capt Ravinder Singh Principal Sainik School Balachadi and

the first lady of the campus Mrs Sonia Singh welcomed the Chief Guest and the

Guest of Honour. On the closing day a band display was also conducted by the

Maratha Infantry.The band comprised of 1 JCO and 8 ORs. Mascot Puffy

presented School Cap to the Chief Guest as a token of memory. On this day, a

Saree Drill was also organized .The Saree Drill was the prime attraction on the

Closing Ceremony in which the participating cadets used colorful sarees as

props. The Chief Guest an alumnus of Sainik School Nagrota appreciated the

true sportsmanship exhibited by the participating teams and complimented the

entire Athletic Meet as par excellence. He also complimented on the role of

Principal and Mrs Sonia Singh the first lady of campus, Vice Principal and the

staff for planning and organizing such wonderful and energetic Sports Meet.

All the participating houses displayed the highest standard of discipline,

Sportsmanship and comaraderie befitting the ethos of Sainik School Balachadi.

Angre House emerged as Champion House and bagged I position by scoring

maximum points whereas Shivaji House bagged II position and the III position

was bagged by Pratap House. School Cadet Captain Shubham M Singh (5554)

presented Vote of Thanks. Mascot ‘Puffy’ was the centre of attraction and

gained much appreciation from the audience during the entire Annual Athletic

Meet. After the Closing Ceremony a High Tea party was also organized in the

NDAhall.

Jamnagar Navy Half Marathon 2019

INS Valsura Jamnagar organised Navy Half Marathon on 08 Dec 2019. 140

cadets and 06 staff members Mr Munsih Kumar Singh, Mr Rajesh Rawal, Mr K

Prasad, CHM Banshilal, Hav K Kumar and Mr Rahul participated in the same.

All the cadets and staff completed the respective distance in stipulated time. The

cadets were awarded by the Medals, Certificates and T shirts.

Inter House Friendly Kho – Kho match

Inter House Friendly Kho–Kho match was organized from 20 to 26 Dec 2019.

All six senior houses participated with great enthusiasm. The match was

organized in two Pools. Pool A (Garuda House, Tagore House, Angre House) &

Pool B (Shivaji House, Pratap House, SP House). The final match was played

between SP House and Shivaji House, in which Shivaji House won the match.

The Chief Guest, Lt Cdr Manu Arora, Vice Principal Sainik School Balachadi

congratulated and gave away the sweets to the winning teams. The Chief Guest

also congratulated the PI staff CHM Bansilal and Hav K Kumar for smooth

conduct of the event.

Inter House GK Quiz Competition

Inter House GK Quiz Competition was organised in school auditorium on 12

Oct 2019. Quiz Master Mr Vinod Harimkar briefed the participating teams

before the starting of the competition for a better response in the event. The

cadets of classes IX,X,XI &XII participated in this quiz with great excitement.

Questions were thrown to the audience also after each round. In this Inter House

GK Quiz Competition, a total of five rounds were conducted.

Gandhi Jayanti Celebration

On 02 Oct 2019, 150th Birth Anniversary of the Father of Nation was celebrated

in school. The Chief Guest Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal Sainik School

Balachadi delivered a speech on the occasion. Vice Principal, Sr Master,

Academic and Adm staff members were also present on this occasion. All the

cadets and staff vouched to implement the principles of Bapu in their life

for better tomorrow.

Inter House Cultural Programme

Inter House Cultural Programme was organised from 03 to 05 Oct 2019 in

school auditorium. Event I/C Mr DN Jani briefed the House Masters for the

smooth functioning of the programme. On this occasion Hindi/English Skit,

Dance Comp (Fit India),Group Song (Tribute to Gandhiji) & Master Stroke

events were organized. All six Senior Houses and two Fresher Houses took part

in the various events with full enthusiasm and enormous vigour. On the day of

Closing Ceremony the Chief Guest Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal gave

away the prizes and appreciated the active participation of the cadets and the

Navratri Celebration

Navratri celebration by worshipping Ma Durga was held on 07 Oct 2019, the

eighth day of Navratras. The first lady of the campus Mrs Sonia Singh,

Principal, Vice Principal, staff members and families along with the cadets from

VI –XII took part in the special prayer on the day. After the worship, all the

staff and cadets enjoyed Dandia Raas & Garba as a part of Navratri celebration.

Cadets, Staff and families danced to various Garba tunes. Special dinner was

also organised on this occasion.

Painting Competition by INS Valsura

A Painting Competition was organized by INS Valsura on 12 Oct 2019. A total

of sixty cadets including 12 cadets from class VI, 24 cadets from classes VII-

VIII & 24 cadets from class IX -XI participated in this competition. The theme

of the competition was ‘Save Water’.

Annual Day Celebration & Inter House Exhibition

Sainik School Balachadi celebrated its 58th Annual Day with great pomp and

show on 19 Oct 2019. Shri Bhupendra Sinh Manubha Chudasama, Minister

of Education (Primary ,Secondary & Adult),Higher & Technical Education

,Law & Justice ,Legislative & Parliamentary Affairs ,Salt Industry, Cow

breeding and Civil Aviation was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Gp Capt

Ravinder Singh, Principal Sainik School Balachadi welcomed the Chief Guest.

The Chief Guest laid wreath at the Shaurya Stambh,The War Memorial of the

Martyrs. A windshield tour was also conducted to acquaint the Chief Guest

about the school.

Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal presented the School’s Annual Report

highlighting the prominent achievements, new appointments in academic staff

and the mission of the school. It was followed by a mesmerizing cultural show

performed by Balachadians in various categories. The Chief Guest also

inaugurated and witnessed the Inter House Exhibition in the Indoor Sports

Complex on this occasion.

The Chief Guest gave away the prizes and trophies to the winners and

appreciated the never tiring efforts by Principal, Vice Principal, school staff and

students on putting up a grand show and also congratulated all academics and

co scholastic achievers. He also emphasized the need to imbibe holistic

personality in cadets and motivated them to be sincere, truthful, disciplined.

The Programme culminated with Vote of Thanks proposed by Lt Cdr Manu

Arora, Vice Principal.

Educational Tour to Okha & Porbander

As a regular part of learning Sainik School Balachadi organised an Educational

Tour from 11 to 13 Nov 2019. 43 cadets of class XI went to Porbander and 65

cadets of class X to Okha for an Educational Cum Motivational Tour. This Tour

was escorted by Dr Venkateshwar (PGT Chemistry) and Mr DD Purohit (PGT

Maths) along with Ward Boy Mr Vijay and Mr Dharamveer. The cadets visited

Coast Guard,Okha and Marine Beach Dwarka. The cadets learnt the functioning

of machinery at the Coast Guard, Marine Life and career in Coastal Life. The

Naval officers made the cadets gain knowledgeable exposure during this tour.

Gp Capt Ravinder Singh the Principal Sainik School Balachadi also joined this

Educational Tour along with his family and boosted the morale of the cadets.

This tour gave the cadets a wonderful exposure to learn out of the box. The tour

was quite fruitful and made them understand Travelling is a means of

Education. The cadets gained a wonderful exposure and learnt a lot

of new things during the tour.

INS Valsura GK Quiz Competition 2019

6 cadets of the school Cdt Shubham M Singh(5554), Cdt Aman(5776 ),Cdt

Manish (5652), Cdt Ankit (5518), Cdt Meet (5662) and Cdt Divya Patel ( 5717 )

participated in Preliminary round (Written ) of INS Valsura GK Quiz

Competition held on 13 Nov 2019 at INS Valsura, Jamnagar. The team was led

by Mr DD Purohit PGT Maths.

A total of 30 teams participated in the competition . Sainik School Balachadi

qualified for the Finals of GK Quiz Competition. The cadets were divided into

three teams of two cadets in each. Our cadets achieved I, III & IV position and

won the INS Valsura GK Quiz Competition Rolling Trophy consecutively. On

the day of Final Round, 43 cadets of class XI also witnessed this historic

moment. Sainik School Balachadi won the final of the quiz competition and

brought laurels to the school . Lt Cdr Manu Arora Vice Principal of Sainik

School Balachadi joined the winning team while receiving the INS Valsura,

GK Quiz Competition Rolling Trophy. It was another feather in the cap. Gp

Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal Sainik School Balachadi congratulated on the

victorious return of the team.

INA Ezhimala Educational cum Motivational Tour

A highly enthusiastic team of 46 cadets of class XI went on an Educational cum

Motivational Tour to Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala from 23 to 29 Nov

2019. The team was escorted by Dr Mahesh Bohra PGT (Maths) and Mr Arun

VR TGT (Physics).The occasion was Passing out Parade of the young Naval

Officers. It was truly a matter of pride and an energy boosting moment to

witness the parade. The cadets also had a chance to interact with under training

officers, the alumni of Sainik School Balachadi. This tour gave them a good

exposure to explore learning skills while travelling.The cadets were highly

motivated to join the Defence Forces. This tour boosted the confidence and

morale of the UPSC aspirants.

Inter House English Essay Writing Competition

English Essay Writing Competition was conducted on 07 Oct 2019 in four

categories. Mrs Lajwanti Yadav was the I/C of the English Essay Writing

Competition.The topics for the essay writing were as follow.

Rising Prices : Causes & Consequences - Category B

Climate Change - Category C

My House : A Home away from Home - Category D

CBSE Story Telling Competition

A story telling Competition was organised by CBSE at various levels for the

students of classes I to XII. Our cadets from classes VI to XII also participated

and narrated the original stories. The Story Telling Competition was organized

on 22 Nov 2019 based on the themes provided by CBSE. The participants made

the audience spellbound while narrating their stories. Ms Aditi Joshi, Cdt

Awadh and Cdt Ankit Kumar were selected for the Story Telling Competition in

three different categories. They were awarded with Certificates of Participation.

Their stories were uploaded on CBSE Story Telling App for higher level

competition. Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal Sainik School Balachadi

congratulated the winners under different categories.

Indian Constitution Day Celebration

As a regular part of Co-Curricular activities Sainik School Balachadi celebrated

Indian Constitution Day on 26 Nov 2019. Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal

Sainik School Balachadi was the Chief Guest of the celebration. All the cadets

from classes VI to XII and staff witnessed this historic celebration. In his

address, the Chief Guest shared the drafting, implementation and the relevance

of Constitution in present scenario.

Navy Day Celebration

Sainik School Balachadi celebrated Indian Navy Day on 04 Dec 2019 in the

school auditorium. Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal Sainik School Balachadi

was the Chief Guest of the Navy Day celebration. Lt Cdr Manu Arora, Vice

Principal congratulated the cadets and staff on the Navy Day celebration. He

presented a wonderful and motivational presentation on Indian Navy. He also

introduced the audience with some interesting facts about Indian Navy. He

shared the glorious history of Indian Navy, its journey from the origin, its

contribution in Defence Force to maintain peace and various career

opportunities in the Navy. In his address he motivated the cadets to join the

Naval services. Chief Guest also congratulated and conveyed his best wishes on

the Navy Day.

English Essay Writing Competition NMC’s Skill Fest

National Management Centre, Jamnagar organized Kaustival 2019 : Skill Fest,

in which various literary activities were organized. The aim of this Skill Fest

was to enhance the language skills of the children. Our Four cadets Cdt

Shubham Mayank Singh (5554), Cdt Singhania Dev (5530), Cdt Bhavin

Makwana (5611) and Cdt Akash Ranjan (5586) participated in English Essay

Writing Competition on 07 Dec 2019. Two cadets Cdt Shubham Mayank Singh

(5554) and Cdt Singhania Dev (5530) brought laurels to school by grabbing 1st

& 2nd

position respectively in English Essay Writing Competition. Both the

cadets were awarded with a Memento of Achievement. Gp Capt Ravinder Singh

Principal Sainik School Balachadi congratulated the cadets for adding another

feather in school’s cap. It was indeed a proud moment for all of us.

Investiture Ceremony Dec 2019

Investiture Ceremony for the Second Term was organized on 08 Dec 2019 to

entrust responsibilities to a new set of selected Cadet Appointments. 19 cadets

were conferred various school appointment ranks, that includes School Cadet

Vice Captain, House Vice Captains, Dorm Prefects I & Dorm Prefects II. The

Investiture Ceremony boosted the confidence and morale of the new

appointments. Principal, Vice Principal, Administrative Officer, the Senior

Master and House Masters conferred Ranks to the new appointments.

Christmas Day Celebration

Sainik School Balachadi celebrated Christmas Day on 25 Dec 2019. The

celebration was organized outside the mess. Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal

Sainik School Balachadi was the Chief Guest of the celebration. Lt Cdr Manu

Arora, Vice Principal, staff and all the cadets from classes VI to XII witnessed

the celebration. The Christmas cake was cut by the Chief Guest. Everybody

sang Christmas Carol and exchanged their heartfelt Christmas greetings. Cdt

Harshit (5547) & Cdt Hiren (5536) played the role of Santa Claus and

distributed sweets among the cadets. Cdt Anjo (6275) of class VI played the

melodies of Christmas Carol on the Violin and won the hearts of the spectators.

The Christmas cake was distributed to all. Cdt Vishal Parmar shared the history

of Christmas Day and acquainted everybody about the day and its importance.

The Chief Guest conveyed his greetings to all the cadets, staff & families.

MISCELLANEOUS

Joining of New PGT Computer

Mr Maitrik N Jani joined Sainik School Balachadi on 18 Nov 2019 as New

faculty, PGT Computer Science. Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal welcomed

and wished him best wishes in all upcoming endeavors.

Sale of All India Sainik School Entrance Exam Applications

2761 All India Sainik School Entrance Exam applications were sold from

August to Nov 2019.The Entrance Exam is scheduled to be held on 05 Jan 2020

as per the guidelines by the Sainik Schools Society.

Posting in of New Adm Officer

Sqn Ldr Mahesh Kumar joined Sainik School Balachadi on 02 Dec 2019 as

New Administrator Officer. The post was vacant for a long time. Gp Capt

Ravinder Singh, Principal welcomed the new Adm Officer and wished him a

successful tenure and stay with the Balachadi fraternity. Senior Master Mr R

Suvagiya briefed his biography and introduced him to the staff.

Maiden Plogging at Sainik School Balachadi

As per the guidelines of Sainik School Society and the Govt of India Plogging

the activity of cleanliness was organized early in the morning on 07 Dec 2019.

Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal Sainik School Balachadi introduced the

activity (Plogging) to the cadets and staff. He also introduced the meaning of

Plogging to the cadets and its maiden launching in India by Narendra Modi,

Prime Minister of India. He also told that it is a combination of jogging with

picking up the litter. The Chief Guest added that it is a supporting campaign

where Swatch Bharat Campaign meets Fit India. Plogging in Balachadi

increased a great concern about the plastic pollution and the loss caused to the

environment. On this occasion Lt Cdr Manu Arora, Vice Principal, Sqn Ldr

Mahesh Kumar Adm Officer, all the cadets and staff were also present and took

an active participation in the Plogging.

Welcome party to New Adm Officer & New Joining Families

Introducing the new members of school family, a welcome party was organized

on 09 Dec 2019 at Staff Club. Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal Sainik School

Balachadi welcomed Sqn Ldr Mahesh Kumar new Adm Officer of Sainik

School Balachadi. On this occasion Mrs Sonia Singh the first lady of campus

welcomed Sqn Ldr Shree Laxmi better half of Sqn Ldr Mahesh Kumar. She

wished them a happy, healthy and prosperous stay with the school family. Mrs

Sonia Singh also welcomed the newly married couples who joined the

Balachadi fraternity. She welcomed Mrs Monika Venkatshwar, Mrs Kavya

Maitrik, Mrs Bhawna Balraj & Mrs Shweta Kulprasad by giving away bouquets

and also wished them a wonderful life. On this occasion a special welcome

dinner was organized to make the moments cherishable. Mr DN Jani (TGT

Science) and Mr Arun VR (TGT Physics) presented musical melodies on this

occasion.

Remedial Classes for Academic Upliftment

To enhance the academic growth of the Slow Learners, Remedial Classes for VI

to XII were conducted from 18 Nov-16 Dec 2019.The concerned subject

teachers of individual class gave their best to overcome the weak areas of the

cadets in each subject. Sr Master Mr R Suvagiya prepared a strategic plan for

the academic enhancement of the slow learners. The plan worked fruitfully and

the cadets performed reasonably better in Pen-Paper TestIII/UTIII.

UPSC NDA/NA Result of Written Exam

32 cadets of school cleared UPSC NDA/NA written examination which was

conducted by UPSC on 17 Nov 2019, The cadets brought laurels to school.

Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal congratulated and appreciated for their

fruitful efforts. He also appreciated the efforts by the faculties in making them

capable to bring laurels. The cadets are toiling hard for their SSB interview

these days.

SSB Training by Brg RS Rathore & Team

Brg RS Rathore, an alumnus (1978) of Sainik School Balachadi briefed the staff

in a conference for better grooming of the cadets for upcoming UPSC NDA/NA

preparation. He discussed the Officer Like Qualities (OLQs). He shared various

criterias of assessment in SSB.

A three days mock SSB Training was conducted from 14 to 16 Dec 2019 to

train the cadets who have cleared written exam of UPSC NDA/NA for

upcoming SSB Interview. The team comprised of Capt TK Suresh Kumar (Rtd)

Psychologist, Col Satyen Rathore GTO and Core team of Sainik School

Balachadi.The SSB Training proved quite fruitful to the aspirants of UPSC

NDA/NA. He also shared his childhood memories as a cadet over his stay at

Sainik School Balachadi.

Selection of Balachadians for Pt Deen Dayal Upaddhay Sparsh Scholarship

Yojna 2019-20

Pandit Deen Dayal Upaddhay Sparsh Scholarship Yojna is a scholarship scheme

organized by the Postal Department of India in association with the Govt of

Gujarat. In this scheme an annual scholarship is given to the students of classes

VI to IX. The prime aim of this scheme is to promote Philately among the

young generation that can improve the academic curriculum in addition to

provide a hobby that will help the students to be away from the stress.

The cadets of our school from classes VI to IX participated in this Scholarship

Scheme under the guidance of Mr Bhawesh JC (HOD Gujarati).

A total of 12 cadets of Sainik School Balachadi from classes VI to IX were

selected in this Pt Deen Dayal Upaddhay Sparsh Scholarship Yojna 2019-20.

Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal, Lt Cdr Manu Arora, Vice Principal and the

staff expressed their heartiest congratulations to the cadets for this achievement.

SSB Training by Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal Sainik School

Balachadi & SSB Core Team

To enhance the confidence and to boost the morale, SSB Training for the

cadets, who have cleared written examination of UPSC NDA/NA was

conducted by Gp Capt Ravinder Singh from 24 to 26 Dec 2019. The SSB

Training was assisted by the Core team of school teachers. Mr Raghesh PR, Mr

RJ Makwana, Mr Lalit Yadav, Mr Vinod Harimkar, Mr Arun VR, Mr Bhawesh

JC and Mr DN Jani were the members of school SSB Core Team. This training

was quite fruitful as it enhanced the confidence level ofthe aspirants of NDA &

NA.

SSB Training by Cdr Kirit Gadhvi (Rtd ) Ex GTO

Cdr Kirit Gadhvi (Rtd ) conducted SSB Training specific to GTO aspects for

the cadets, who have cleared Written Examination of UPSC NDA/NA. The

Training was conducted from 28 to 30 Dec 2019. The training was assisted by a

Core team of our school. Mr Raghesh PR, Mr RJ Makwana, Mr Lalit Yadav, Mr

Vinod Harimkar, Mr Arun VR, Mr Bhawesh JC and Mr DN Jani were the

members of school SSB Core Team. The SSB Training team satisfied all the

queries put up by the UPSC NDA/NA aspirants. Gp Capt Ravinder Singh,

Principal extended his sincere thanks to the Guest Speaker Cdr Kirit Gadhvi

(Rtd ). The training was fruitful as it raised the confidence level of the aspirants

of UPSC NDA/NA.

Performance Index Conference after PPT III/UT III

To discuss the academic Performance Index after Pen Paper Test III & Unit Test

III, a conference was conducted by Gp Capt Ravinder Singh, Principal Sainik

School Balachadi. Academic Targets given by the cadets were discussed

widely. He discussed the academic performance & growth through a

presentation. He reminded about the targets taken from the cadets and asked the

staff to help out the cadets to achieve them fruitfully. He also asked the staff to

be accountable for the results and to ensure to improve the Performance Index.

He discussed the remedies to be given to the slow learners as well as to the

achievers. Lt Cdr Manu Arora, Vice Principal also shared his valuable

suggestions for the improvement of academic standard of the cadets. All the

academic staff was present during the conference. It was fruitful to the teachers

as it raised their confidence to do better in the upcoming examination. A set of

new strategies was also discussed in the conference.
