He was from Rome
He was well educated
In Greek literature
And even studied
philosophy
In Athens!

Whose full name

Marcus Tullius Cicero
Was murdered
In Formia.
Hadrian
Was born
In
He was considered
One of the
greatest
Of the
“5 good emperors”
His laws
Protected women,
Children,
And slaves.
He constantly traveled
Throughout the empire
Commissioning many
Buildings,

Defensive structures.

He was a roman
emperor

Throughout his reign
Hadrian managed
To strengthen
Citizen’s loyalty to Rome
And many
Considered him to be
the best emperor
In Roman HISTORY!
He purposely
made himself
Overeat and drink
So he would die sooner
Rather than deal with
His illness.
He finally died
In 138 A.D
Hannibal
Was born in 247 B.C
He was the son
Of the great
Carthaginian general
Hamiclar.
His father made him
Swear an oath,
At age nine
To forever be
the enemy of Rome
Hannibal kept true
To his oath when,
In 221 B.C
His father died
And Hannibal was voted
To be the new general
When he was 26 years old
Hannibal fought
in the 2nd
Punic War,
Leading his massive army
To Italy
By the time
They reached the mountains
That bordered Italy,
Only half of them remained
But still, Hannibal quickly became
One of the greatest
Foes of Rome in history
Even though he lost that war
Hannibal died
At the end of the
2nd Punic War,
when he poisoned himself
To avoid be killed by
Scipio at Zama
A town near Carthage
After being betrayed
by the Namadians
Who were originally
Allies of
Carthage’s army.
Hannibal’s death
Sparked the 3rd Punic War
which
ended
With Rome enslaving
The remaining survivors
Julius Caesar

July 13th 100 B.C

Many people feared
That Caesar was gaining
Too much power
Too fast
and so,
60 men
Including his best friend
Brutus,
Plotted to kill him
And their plan
Succeeded on March 15th
He was stabbed
and
Romulus and Remus
Were twin brothers
Children of
A Latin princess
And the Roman god Mars
The father of the princess
Feared that they
Would dethrone him
So….
He pushed them
Down the Tiber river
In a basket.
But they were rescued
By a she-wolf
Named Lupa
And found by a shepherd
Who raised them as his own
When they grew up
They killed the king

And took his throne
Then they decided
That they wanted
To build a city
But they couldn’t agree
Where to build it!
Romulus wanted one hill
And Remus wanted another
In a rage,
Romulus struck his brother
With a stone,
Killing him.
Romulus founded
The city of Rome,
Naming it after himself.
