What’s Required?

Completed DD Form 2536 for each public event• Not required for military sponsored events but having one

protects us all• Bands are governed by the law, and policies

Might be able to waive policy, but not law

• Band Support Officer will determine eligibility

CNRC Music for Recruiting program pays for bands travel• Must have recruiting jobs (i.e. High School concerts)

Navy Bands: What You Need to Know

Let the band help you • Contact them early; they can help you plan and set up

performances (preferred method)

Bands deliver Navy key messages from the stage Bands have the ability, given proper notice, to alter music

in order to focus on target audience or a particular venue• Music is not necessarily the same for Fargo and Indianapolis

All Bands are structured basically the same, but assets (units) vary because they are dependent on current onboard manning• A least two bands are currently without trained vocalist
