Barcelona is a city of Spain. It belongs to the Autonomous Community of Catalonia , which is the capital.

Located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. About 120 km from the Pyrenees and the border of France.

Barcelona has 5.029.181 inhabitants.Barcelona has been the scene of various world events

that helped shape the city and give international exposure. Most relevant are the Universal Exhibition of 1888, the International Exhibition of 1929, the Summer Olympic Games 1992 and the Universal Forum of Cultures 2004. It is also home to the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean.

The kitchen in Barcelona presented as typical dishes such as escudella i carn d'olla, is a soup a vegetables and patatoes and with pilots (mass of beef with bread,eggs and spices).
