you.2. When posting online – use first names

only, no personal details, permission for photos etc.

3. Many sites are R13 – your teacher will need to set up a class account for these sites.

4. Facebook, MySpace, Bebo – appropriate use. Do not post any information that you would not want your mother, grand parent or employer to see. Do not use electronic mediums to flame, bully, harass or stalk other people.

5. Do not give personal details about yourself, your family. Don't publish a schedule of your activities

6. Think about the information you are posting, what will it mean to an outsider viewing it?

7. Passwords – protecting passwords, remembering passwords.

8. What to do if you find something inappropriate or even if it just doesn’t feel right.

9. If you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing. Don’t forward it, don’t visit it.

10. Report any abuse you see.

2. Request to use the software and media others produce.

3. BBI Resources; Student diska. Label all work with room number, name, filename. Put in correct file.b. Respect other people – don’t go nosing around in other’s folders.c. Imovies, mp3s, large video and audio files should not be stored on the student disk.d. When using a file from the student disk, drag it on to your desktop first.e. Teachers will set up the class folder according to their needs. Follow your class organization.

Making the best of the internet at BBI

1. Ninga. Your class ning is for your class only. Do not

share the passwords with other students in other classes.

b. Teachers will set up the ning according to their needs. Follow your class organization.

2. GmailAll classes should have gmail addresses and use

these to set up class accounts, managed by the teacher, in sites such as blogger, voicethread, youtube, etc.
