BBM DEPARTMENTAL REPORT

Mrs. Anjali Shah attended International Conference on the Para design

of Triple Bottom line - Risk ethics, Governance and sustainability at St.

Joseph's College of Commerce, Bangalore on 31st August and 1st

September 2015.

12th September 2015 : Mrs. Bharathi attended one day National Seminar

on " Towards Sustainable Development in 21st Century" at

Seshadripuram College Bangalore.

Mrs. Priya Srinivasa authored a text book titled "Quantitative Analysis

for Business Decisions for 3rd semester B.COM "for students of

Bangalore University published by M\s Thakur publishers edition 2015,

ISBN-978-93-5163-358-7.

Mrs. Priya Srinivasa presented a paper entitled " A Study on Women

Entrepreneurship in Rural Karnataka : Problems and Prospects "in one

day National Seminar on " Dynamics of entrepreneurship for sustainable

development " organised by Sree Venkateshwara College of Science and

Management Studies on 7th october 2015 .

Mrs, Priya Srinivasa presented a paper entitled " Key Role in developing

and organising E-Waste management strategy strategy : challenges and

opportunities " in a National Conference on issues and challenges of

commerce and management organised by St, Claret College ,Bangalore

on 20th October 2015.

On the occasion of 27th National Road Safety week. Bangalore Traffic

Police conducted a program on 9\1\2016 at 10:30 am in Kanteerva

Outdoor Stadium Bangalore. The students of BBM and department

teachers Mrs. Priya Srinivasa and Ms. Linu, participated in the

procession from our college with awareness banners, placards to

Kanteerva outdoor stadium Bangalore.

4th and 5th February 2016 : Mrs Priya Srinivasa presented a paper

entitled " Corporate Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility "

in the UGC Sponsored Two day National Seminar on " Companies Act -

2013 -issues and challenges " organized by BMS College for Women.

12th February 2016 Mrs. Bharathi attended a UGC Sponsored one day

state level seminar on the topic " Effect of Entry of Foreign Players in

Indian Retail Industry and Strategies for survival and growth organised

by the Department of Commerce and Management of Abbas Khan

Degree College for Women. 12th February : Chapel was organized by

3rd year BBM students on "Awareness of Breast Cancer".

2nd March 2016: Mrs. Anjali presented a paper titled " Study on Stock

Price movements post merger " at National Seminar on " Sustaining

Competitive edge in the changing global scenario " organised by the

department of commerce at Christ College.

March 2016: Mr Prakash Choudary Strategic Partner of ADDZUP

along with his team taught the III year BBM students the art of buying

and selling of shares in the stock market with the help of a game called

“THE BULL AND THE BEAR BOARD GAME” The game focused on

the principle of the stock market – E, F, G, H i.e,. Emotion, Fear, Greed

and Hope which has to be avoided to successfully sustain in the market.

Never invest blindly

The money kept at home is ideal and is a loss for the business

When in “doubt” stay “away” and out of it.

Types of buildings were made by Shalja peter ,Nishal pinky and Nesara of

3rd BBM.

Reliance World was made by Aliya begum, Ayesha firdouse, Nusrat fathima

and Umme hani of 1st BBA.

KAF Hotel was made by kulsum khanum of 2nd BBM.

Travel and tourism were made by Rohini m.c and Trishala .p.reddy.

Ship building wasmade by Rebecca ,Jaishree, and Maria leema of 3rd BBM.

Wind mill was made by Revathi of 2nd BBM.

Water Indicator was made by Malvika of 2nd BBM.

Banking was made by Zaiba and Nansiya of 3rd BBM.

Management information system was made by Zaiba and sheik Ayesha of

3rd BBM.

KFC was made by Sharmila of 1st BBA

MC’Donalds was made by Nitya ,Shwetha and Swati of 1st BBA.

The exhibition was conducted successfully and all the teachers

appreciated the efforts made by the students. Students were specially

appreciated for explaining the models clearly with right information.

Students from different classes attended the exhibition and were happy to

see the models showcased during the exhibition which was very informative.
