Everything You Always Wanted to Know About BDPA, But Were Afraid to Ask! One hour each week devoted to sharing information with current and future BDPA leaders on what it takes to run a successful BDPA chapter. We will discuss every aspect of the BDPA experience ... both tactical and strategic. There will be a lesson plan for each session ... however, we will be flexible enough to provide you with answers to questions that are on your mind. Our goal is to eventually ensure that each and every chapter is functioning and successful. Attendees should include anyone who is currently in a leadership role ... and anyone who is currently thinking about entering a leadership role in a BDPA chapter, region or national office. Week #1 - held on October 21, 2014. Agenda focused on BDPA history, chapter leadership and some of the nuts & bolts of guiding your chapter towards success.TRANSCRIPT

Down To Chapter Business: What Should You Do?
1. Recruit and inform students & IT professionals interested in BDPA.
2. Contact the National BDPA Office to receive BDPA materials
3. Work with Regional Officers or Chapter Presidents you respect to develop a mentor relationship.
4. Network Regularly with other geographically co-located organizations (Black or IT)

What Should You Do?
5. Create a plan that can guide you in 2015 growth of your BDPA chapter.
6. Publicize a 13-month revolving program meeting schedule.

8. Provide Quarterly Status Report to your regional office.
9. Access the Internet (especially social networks) regularly.
