FAITH POETRYDedicated to those who struggle in their faith at times .Scripture: Matthew 14:31 , Matthew 6:25

Why is it that you have such little faith oh child? Why do you accept things the way they are?Don’t you understand the power of my hand?Don’t you understand I can make day into night with the blink of an eye?

Who am I, to change life into death or death into life, child?I am GOD. I am your father who made heaven and earth. So don’t you see, when doctors tell you there is nothing they can do, just remember that I have a plan for you.

When debt and depression try to take over your life, have faith that I will see you through. I can change a bad situation into a good one, if ye only have faith.

So have faith my child. It will make your life run smoother. I love you my child always, Your Father art in Heaven, GOD

Protecting yourself from identity theftBy Shannon Parker

No one can doubt the immeasurable benefits of the information revolution. Today, thanks to e-mail and the Internet, many of us are more productive, informed and connected than ever before. Unfortunately, as a result, we are also more vulnerable.

The statistics are startling. According to a 2006 survey conducted by The Better Business Bureau and Javelin Strategy and Research, nearly nine million people were victims of identity theft, costing a total of approximately $56.6 billion.

Lose Fat With Mangos? When we are dieting to lose weight, we are actually trying to lose body fat while maintaining or improving our

lean muscle strength.  Therefore, consuming the best foods to lose fat is an important part of a successful

weight loss program.  Unfortunately, there is not a lot of research into the best foods to lose fat.  This means

that it can be difficult to truly know which are the best foods to lose fat.

New research results suggest that mangos might be one of the best foods to lose fat.  In this study,

researchers fed mice one of six diets: a control low-fat diet, a high-fat diet, a high-fat diet + 1% mango

powder, a high-fat diet + 10% mango, and two other diets supplemented with prescription drugs.  The mice

were fed these diets for 2 months and were allowed to eat as much as they wanted every day.  After 2

months, changes in body weight, body fat, markers of fat metabolism and more were measured.  While no

differences in body weight were seen between the diet types after two months, changes in body fat suggest

that mangos can be one of the best foods to lose fat.  As you might expect, body fat was greatest in the mice

fed the high-fat diet; however, mice fed a high-fat diet supplemented with mango powder had a body fat

content similar to mice fed the low-fat control diet.

Question: "Why does God allow evil?"

Answer: With people thinking about the September 11 terrorist attacks on the tenth anniversary of the horrific event, many are again asking the age-old question: "Why does God allow evil?" The Bible describes God as holy (Isaiah 6:3), righteous (Psalm 7:11), just (Deuteronomy 32:4), and sovereign (Daniel 4:17-25). These attributes tell us the following about God: (1) God is capable of preventing evil, and (2) God desires to rid the universe of evil. So, if both of these are true, why does God allow evil? If God has the power to prevent evil and desires to prevent evil, why does He still allow evil? Perhaps a practical way to look at this question would be to consider some alternative ways people might have God run the world:

1) God could change everyone’s personality so that they cannot sin. This would also mean that we would not have a free will. We would not be able to choose right or wrong because we would be “programmed” to only do right. Had God chosen to do this, there would be no meaningful relationships between Him and His creation.

Instead, God made Adam and Eve innocent but with the ability to choose good or evil. Because of this, they could respond to His love and trust Him or choose to disobey. They chose to disobey. Because we live in a real world where we can choose our actions but not their consequences, their sin affected those who came after them (us). Similarly, our decisions to sin have an impact on us and those around us and those who will come after us.

2) God could compensate for people’s evil actions through supernatural intervention 100 percent of the time. God would stop a drunk driver from causing an automobile accident. God would stop a lazy construction worker from doing a substandard job on a house that would later cause grief to the homeowners. God would stop a father who is addicted to drugs or alcohol from doing any harm to his wife, children, or extended family. God would stop gunmen from robbing convenience stores. God would stop high school bullies from tormenting the brainy kids. God would stop thieves from shoplifting. And, yes, God would stop terrorists from flying airplanes into buildings. READ MORE

Breaking Free from the Chastisement of Eve! By Daphne NorthanSince the bible days, women have been mentally, emotionally, and physically abused and misused by men. God revealed to me women who have not yet been born again suffer because of Eve’s chastisement.

Recall when God said to the woman in Genesis 3:16 “…Your desire will be for your husband and he will rule over you?” From the word rule, comes: control, a law or principle that operates within a particular sphere of knowledge, describing or prescribing what is possible or allowable. That’s a curse when being in relationships with men who have NOT YET established a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ. I now have understanding that God knew the fate of women (past, present and future wives) when God spoke to her after He spoke to the serpent. Eve just didn’t know exactly what God meant because she’d never experienced “ruling” by a man (her husband) before that moment and she never experienced marriage without God in the midst of it. Yes, our mother, Eve, was about to feel and experience the same pain and suffering that her (unsaved) offspring would because of that dreadful day in the garden!

So, from the garden till today, many women became victims of being ruled by ungodly men. Few women have not. Few women were protected all their lives from the sins of men. They are the women who simply cannot relate to the daily struggles, low-self esteem, addictions, insecurity, aggression, anger, pain, depression, promiscuity, loneliness, un-forgiveness, and shame of most women who (unknowingly) walk in the chastisement of Eve.

7 life changing words

We live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7What are you dealing with today? Speak to your situation and every person, thing, challenge etc. that is telling you to quit and tell it “I WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT”. Do you think that those who have overcome extreme circumstances that we now see as successful did not have challenges? It is easy to get caught up in the here and now and forget the promises of God. I am telling you today that you must walk by faith. Don’t let the temporary things around you cause you to miss God. Don’t let your sight cause you to forsake Jesus. Don’t let your sight cause you to give up on the greatness that God has planted inside of you. It is time to shutdown the pity party, close the doors to negativity and live your life according to that which you have faith in and not what you see right now! I pray that today’s message blesses you to trust in the hand of God on your life. Be Inspired! And have a blessed and productive day!

Some people are just so much smarter than me

by AndiLets be honest; there are, at minimum, thousands of people smarter than me, and I don’t think that I’m dumb, and I know people who are smart about people aren’t always good at numbers (*ahem*) and that some people who are great with complex strategies sometimes aren’t the best when it comes to simple task. I’m just saying that I respect folks that are smarter than me in various areas and I think I’m going to start this blog ”series” of taking quotes from said smart people and re-posting them along with my thoughts, so here is the first one:“Sometimes God redeems your story by surrounding you with people who need to hear your past so it doesn’t become their future.” John Acuff, blogger and creator of “Stuff Christians Like” So, clearly-its a legit thought. This was straight up encouraging and convicting at the same time. (Funny how those two often go together huh?) I know that my life story is def. redeemed by God-truth. Claiming Psalm 16:6, “The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance” I own my life’s story as the one the Sovereign Lord has given me to live; this is my life of epic adventure and it is indeed delightful because it is from a loving God. Can’t really argue with that I read this and I take from it several elements:Discipleship-If you know me,  you know I love discipleship. I see no clearer model for life than discipleship and I’ll defend that all day-everyday.  The quote reminds me of 2Tim 2:2 and the model set up there.Remembering what He’s done for YOU-How many times have I wished that I remembered more. I know and believe that if I was supposed to remember it than God would bring it to mind ’cause, well, He’s God and He’s in control over everything. Simple to understand,  not easy to explain but that’s another blog. Anyway. I wish I remembered the things that I’ve been through so that I can share it more readily for His glory. READ MORE
