RECIPE

Sweet Potato Chocolate Brownies

A rich and delectable chocolate brownie that the whole family will love and a great way to get veggies in to your kids.

Prep: 10 mins

Yields: 30 serves

Ingredients

450g Sweet Potato, peeled and cooked 200g Almond Meal 1/4 Cup Dutch cocoa powder 125g Pitted dried dates 1/4 Cup honey

Directions

1. Peel, chop and boil sweet potato until soft. Be sure use the correct amount of sweet potato as if you use too much, it will not set.

HELPING HANDS

HELPING HANDS BECKENHAM NEWS UPDATE

Dear Parents and Guardians, Sustainability: During week 2 the sustainability practices were embedded in the program. Together the staff and children made lots of things using natural resources. The children made plastic bag kites, twine balls using jute string and glue. Made nature frames with children using natural leaves, flowers, honky nuts and seed pods. The children also helped us maintaining the garden by giving water to the plants every day. Construction Zone: the children demonstrated their creative and imaginary skills quite extensively during last fortnight. They construct various items using construction tools and pipes. Dress-Ups: the children and staff also enjoyed playing with costumes and dressing up in different dresses. Halloween Craft: was also popular this week. The children made a variety of art works. They made paper plate witches, Halloween fence frames, cup witches, Halloween colouring in.
