Pension Fund promises have an increasingly profound impact on the balance sheets of multinationals. Pooling enables corporates to bundle assets and pension liabilities from various jurisdictions under a single licensed pension fund and enhances risk management and governance. Belgium is one of the few countries in the European Economic Area offering a dedicated and comprehensive framework for establishing a pan European pension fund, in accordance with the European Union directive on Supervision of Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision. From Belgium, the heart of Europe, high profile policy makers, financial supervisory authorities and advisors will show what companies can gain and how they can simplify pension arrangements, making them both more efficient and transparent.
