Welcome to the I Am A Leader Reader Series. This series is designed to enhance yourchild's reading ability, critical thinking skills, and leadership qualities.
As they learn to read they will become more confident in their readingcomprehension. As they become more confident readers ask them the criticalthinking questions at the back of the book.
The best way to teach your child to read is by consistently reading to them for shortperiods of time. As a result this book was designed to be used over a five day span for15 minutes a day.
CONGRATULATIONS!
Day 1:Introduce EN WORDS. Go around your home and look for EN words. This will allow them to put a picture tothe words.
Day 2:Do the Word Builder.
Day 3:Do the flash cards. Remember make it fun.You can jump, clap, or wiggle.
Day 4:Read the story and color in the pictures. The story was designed for your child to draw in the pictures. Feel freeto print out the book. This method allows them to better remember the words.
Day 5:Read the story.Your child should be able to start reading the story. Revisit any part off the book.

Hi, my name is Benjamin Banneker.
I am a leader.
One day, I saw ten men look at the moon.
Two days, later I saw ten men look at the moon.
Three days later, I saw ten men look at the moon.
Four days later, I saw no men look at the moon.
I took my pen out to draw the moon.
Five days later, ten men call out Ben.
They said, "We did not see the moon. "
Ben, can you help us with our hens?
I am a leader critical thinking questions. These questions are designed for your child to
see the leader in themselves. Encourage leadership qualities in your child. Some of the
questions may need to be further researched to garner the best answer.
Benjamin Banneker wrote the first Almanac. The Almanac is based upon astronomy. It
helps farmers
