    Weeklyquizzesaregiventoinspireyoutokeepontopofstudyingandactasagaugeforhowwellyouredoing

    intheclass. Theywillcoverthematerialfromthepreviousweekslecturesaslistedinthecourseoutline. Ifyou

    arenotdoingwellonthequizzesandfindthemdifficult,thenthatisasignthatyouneedtochangeyour

    approachtostudyingforAnatomyandPhysiology. Iwilldropyourtwolowestquizscores. Nomakeupquizzes

    willbegiven.

    WrittenExams:

    AnatomyandPhysiologyismostlyafactualsubjectwithobjectiveexamsusedasthemainevaluationtool.Each

    examwillbebasedonlecturematerialandassociatedchaptersfromthetext.TheexamsareNOTcumulative

    andonlytestonthematerialfromthemostrecentsectionofthecourse. Nomakeupexamswillbegiven.

    LabPracticals:

    Yourunderstandinginlabisevaluatedusinglabpracticalexams.Labpracticalexamswillbethesameweekas

    thelectureexamsandcoverjustthelabmaterialfromthatsectionofthecourse.Asthefirstlabpracticalnears,

    Iwillprovidesomesamplequestionsanddiscussstrategiestodowellontheseexams. Itisimportantistocome

    toclasseachweekprepared,focusduringlab,andreviewwhatyouvelearnedeveryweek. Nomakeuplab

    LaboratoryReviewSheets:

    Laboratoryreviewsheetswillneedtobecompletedandturnedinperiodicallythroughoutthesemesterfor

    evaluation. Tobeconsideredforevaluation,eachsetofreviewsheetsmustbestapled,and,yournameandthe

    dateofeachlabmustbepresentonthefirstpageofeachset

    LateWork:

    IfIreceiveyourworkafterthescheduledduedate,pointsaredeductedat10%perdaytheassignmentislate. If

    unknowncircumstancesoccurthatwillpreventyoufromsubmittingyourworkbytheduedate,calloremailme

    immediately. WorkwillNOTbeacceptedifitismorethan1weeklate.

    Attendance:

    Studentsareexpectedtoattendandparticipateinallclassmeetingsandlaboratories. Astudentwhoexpectsto

    beabsentduetoanotherschoolsponsoredactivityorcompellingpersonalreasonmustmakeprior

    arrangementswiththeinstructor. Allcourseworkmustbemadeupasdirectedbytheinstructor. Astudent

    whodoesnotadheretoinstructorandCollegeattendancerequirementsmaybedroppedfromthecourseas

    definedintheYavapaiCollegeGeneralCatalog.

    CellPhoneandPagerPolicy:

    YavapaiCollegeiscommittedtoprovidingaqualitylearningenvironment. Allcellphonesandpagersmustbe

    placedinanonaudiblemodewhileinclassrooms,computerlabs,thelibrary,thelearningcenter,andtesting

    areas. Cellphonesandpagersmustbeusedoutsidethesefacilities. Anystudentfoundusingacellphonein

    anymannerduringanexam,labpracticalorquizwillreceiveanautomaticzeroonthatexam,labpracticalor

    quiz.

    CourseWithdrawal:

    Toofficiallywithdrawfromacourse,thestudentmustdosoonlinethroughtheYCPortal. Withdrawingfroma

    courseafterthepublisheddeadlineforwithdrawalrequiresinstructorapprovalandsignature. Awithdrawal

    Wwillnolongerbeassignedwhenastudentdoesnotcompleteaclass. Ifyoudecidetowithdrawfromthe

    classitisyourresponsibilitytodoso. Instructorswillassignonlylettergradesforstudentswhoremainenrolled

    Ifastudentdoesnotfollowofficialproceduresforwithdrawingfromacourse,failinggradesmaybepostedon
