The “evergreen forest” points towards the north, between 600m and 1200m of altitude dominated by the sea of clouds.
The Monteverde offers stable environmental conditions throughout the year. It comprises two distinct ecosystems: the Lauris and Morella heath.

There are 18 different species of trees:the laurel (Laurus azorica), the Vinata (Perse indica), the Til (Ocotea foetens), palo blanco (Picconia excelsa), the barbusano (Apollonias
barbujana), strawberry tree (Arbutus canariensis), the Mocan (Visnea mocanera),
the dolphin (Pleiomeris canariensis), etc.
