1. Go to Manage Connections, and select Set Up Wi-‐Fi Network: 2. Select Scan For Networks. If prompted, select Turn Wi-‐Fi on. 3. Once the scan is complete, select UA-‐WPA2 from the list of available networks. 4. Enter the following information in the Wi-‐Fi Security menu:
• Security Type: PEAP • User name: <your myBama username> • User password: <your myBama password> • CA certificate: Equifax Secure Certificate Authority • Inner link Security: EAP-‐MS-‐CHAP v2 • Token: None Selected • Server subject: <leave blank> • Server SAN: <leave blank> • Disable Server Certificate Validation: <check the box>
5. Click Connect. 6. If prompted, select Yes to Save this Wi-‐Fi Network as a Profile.
Note: The BlackBerry can connect to UA-‐WPA2 without saving the connection as a profile. However, each subsequent connection will require you to complete the process again.
7. For the Profile Name, enter UA-‐WPA2. 8. Click Next. 9. Click Finish to complete the connection. 10. Upon connecting to UA
You should now be connected to the "WPA" wireless network. If you are still unable to connect after following the above instructions, contact the IT Service Desk at (205) 348-‐5555 or [email protected]. Troubleshooting Tips • It may be necessary to turn your BlackBerry Wi-‐Fi off and back on in order to connect the first time.
• You will need to forget the UA Public Wireless & UA ResNet Wireless networks so that you
continue to have a secure connection through UA-‐WPA2. In order to forget the networks, please follow the steps below for each network:
o Long press the listed network you want to forget. In this case, select “UA Public Wireless or UA ResNet Wireless”.
o Tap Forget Network.
