Never have enough time to finish your own quilts?  Then this auction item is for you.   You will have $250 towards the cost of quilting one (or more) of your quilt tops:  you can have custom quilting done on those heirloom baby quilts or finish a queen‐size quilt with beautiful edge‐to‐edge design or anything in between!  Quilting will be done by Barbara Mayfield at her APQS Northwest studio in Issaquah.  Expires:  December 31, 2018

005  My Name is Paige, And I’m Waiting to be Adopted 

  

I am an 18 inch doll with a wardrobe that would make Beyonce jealous.  I’m dressed in my fancy taffeta dress and ready to go to a ball and meet my prince charming.  My other party dress is red lined lace with diamond brooch, red & white party shoes, and white fluffy wrap.  On football days, I can wear my Seahawks dress and “12” necklace and cheer the team with my pompoms.  I also have a white fur‐like coat, poodle skirt, jeans jacket, hand knitted dress with matching scarf & hat, sundress with shorts, and much more.

Don’t have space for a longarm quilting machine in your home but you have lots of quilts to finish?  APQS Northwest in Issaquah has four stand‐up machines and one sit‐down machine, and when you purchase this auction item, you will have 10 hours of use of any of these machines. Thread and bobbins are included as well as professional training and supervision!  You can practice on a charity quilt before touching one of your own quilts or using up any of your hours – charity quilts are always free!   Expires:  December 31, 2018  

013  “A Country Journal” Kit Needing a Loving Hand to Finish 

 

 “A Country Journal” by Maggie Walker Designs is a stunning and unique quilt.  The original quilt won 1st prize at 2000 Amarillo State Fair and was listed for $900. Someone lovingly worked on this one and now it just needs someone to finish 3 blocks, (the center, top middle and lower right blocks) to complete a 53”X59” treasure.   Pattern and fabric included.

017  Your Own Personal Quilting Retreat  

 

WOW,  spend 3 days and 2 nights with 5 of your best quilting friends (6 total guests) on Whidbey Island just south of Coupeville.  This retreat has been generously donated by JB Scharf at her home and studio.  There are 3 bedrooms on the lower level of the house each with 2 beds and 1 guest bed in living room at ground level if someone has trouble with stairs.  Bedding and towels are provided. 

The large studio is in a separate building next door and there is parking for 4 cars in the driveway.  Bring your own food, visit Red Apple grocery store in town and/or enjoy Coupeville’s wonderful restaurants. 

Good luck getting any quilting done in a studio with views of Mt. Baker, Penn Cove and Saratoga Passage.  And JB would be happy to join your group.  Please contact JB to choose a mutually agreed upon date.  Expires:  June 30, 2018
