Foundation Participates in Red Cross Missing Types MovementThe letters A and O will be removed from the Foundation logo on the Foundation website from Monday, June 11 through Tuesday, July 3 in participation of the Red Cross Missing Types Movement.

You might not realize how important the letters A, B and O are until they’re gone. But, for a patient in need of lifesaving blood, those letters mean everything. The Foundation will be participating in the Red Cross Missing Types Movement to help raise awareness and fill in the missing types.

The Red Cross needs your help to fill the missing blood types so patients can receive the lifesaving care they need. Visit redcrossblood.org/missingtypes to schedule your blood donation appointment today.

CPELI Hosts Graduation Celebration for International StudentsAt the recent graduation ceremony on Friday, June 1, international students at Cal Poly English Language Institute (CPELI) were recognized for completing an intensive English program. The ceremony concluded, as it does every quarter, with a slideshow of students and staff engaging in language and cultural activities. Finally, all participants were treated to a meal prepared by Kellogg West.

We at CPELI are proud of our students’ achievements and success!

Parking Lot B and P to be Closed TemporarilyParking lots B and P will be closed from Monday, June 11 throughFriday, August 10.

The Foundation was proud to sponsor the various cultural celebrations that occurred on the Cal Poly Pomona campus in early June. These events included the 19th Annual Lavender Graduation Celebration, the 16th Annual Pan-Asian Graduation Celebration, the Pan-African Graduation Celebration, the Native American Scholarship Recognition & Graduation Celebration and the 23rd Annual Raza Graduation Celebration. The Foundation is honored to help such diverse and unique groups on campus and looks forward to supporting them in the future.

Note of Gratitude

A Thank You to the Kellogg House Team Review on The Knot

Kellogg House was the perfect venue for my wedding! I would choose it again in a heartbeat. Jacque Marshall was awesome the entire year leading up to my wedding no matter how many questions I had. She was quick to respond and was very professional and organized throughout.

Thank you Kellogg House Team!

Juan Iturbe: Thank you for supporting our event and for always being an awesome partner and supporter of Project SUCCESS.

We plan to give a special shoutout to you and BSC Catering during lunch! Thank you,

Tim Alexander, M.S.Coordinator, Project SUCCESS

Joseph has been a Kellogg West employee since April 20, 2018. Although Joseph has only been a Kellogg West staff member for under a year, he has built a reputation of being a quiet but hardworking employee.

Joseph has been a dependable employee during event setups at Kellogg House and assisting catering events throughout campus.

Joseph’s great attitude has made him a valuable and well-liked staff member. He continues expanding his operational knowledge to become an even better staff member.

Kellogg West is happy to award the May 2018 employee of the month to an excellent Foundation employee.

Sincerely,

Oscar VillanuevaKellogg WestSenior Food and Beverage Manager

Los Olivos Celebrates Cinco de MayoThe Cinco de Mayo luncheon at Los Olivos was a fun fiesta filled with an array of food and entertainment. The menu was filled with delectable cuisines, including enchiladas, taquitos, carnitas, ceviche and much more. For those with a sweet tooth, tres leches cake and a variety of churros were available for dessert. To complete the ambiance, a live mariachi band played throughout the event. Foundation Marketing also set up a photo booth for all attendees to strike a pose in celebration of the holiday.
