State-of-the-art materials.

The 787 Dreamliner is the first commercial aircraft to be 50% manufactured from compound materials that are lighter and more resistant than aluminium. These materials are one of the key technologies behind the 787’s unbeatable performance in terms of fuel consumption.

Outstanding environmental performance.

A whole series of technological advances that boost energy efficiency levels, including lightweight compound materials, advanced systems, new engines and cutting-edge aerodynamics (the wing shape and size as well as the fuselage contribute to making it more aerodynamic). This aircraft consumes 20% less fuel and generates fewer emissions than any other aircraft of a similar size.

Quieter for populated areas.

The 787’s noise impact is 60% lower than other aircraft of the same size, which means less noise for towns and cities situated close to airports.

Enhanced light adaptation.

The windows are 30% larger than those on the Boeing 767 and allow passengers to control light levels during the various phases of the flight at the touch of a button.

The 787 cabin is pressurised 609.6 metres lower than most aircraft. Tests have revealed that as the body absorbs 8% more oxygen in the blood at this altitude, passengers are less likely to suffer headaches, airsickness and tiredness.

Cleaner air.

An advanced air filter system that not only filters bacteria and viruses but also odours and other contaminating agents. Recent developments in climate control allow for greater humidity levels in the cabin air, thereby reducing the dryness effects associated with flying.

Creating healthier, more natural starters, avoiding overly-elaborate sauces or ingredients, serving detox juices or main courses featuring more balanced produce such as amaranth or quinoa all reflect Air Europa’s commitment to offering healthier in-flight menus.

Wi-Fi

Air Europa has launched its WiFi service on its mid and long haul flights. With this new service, passengers will now be able to remain connected without having to wait until they reach their destination.
