In the beginning, Max is heart-broken from her ex– Fang. she is staying at her mom’s house, and when Max return’s from another one of her outbursts of crying alone, Angel receives thoughts from two men Max hates.

Page 4: Book by: James Patterson Report by: Jen Weinger

These two men are Max’s biological father, Jeb Batchelder and another man who had tried to kill Fang last time Max had seen him. His name is Dr. Hans Gunther-Hagen. Both are scientists, too.

Max, the flock, Dylan (Max does not include Dylan in the flock yet…), and Max’s mom argue over weather they should let the men in. At first Max ‘s mom is on Max’s side, but she switches to thinking that they should let the men in.

Max does not want to go against her mom, so she agrees to let them in although secretly she still thinks it’s a bad idea. When the scientists first get in, they are normal. They begin to talk of this that Max already knows, like that she will and has to save the world.

Then Hans slipped something he shouldn’t have. The flock, Dylan, and Max’s mom all hear that the two scientists think that Max should…

Breed

Breed. Like, have babies. And she’s only fifteen!! The scientists think she should go off to Germany with Dylan, because he is her “perfect other half” and have a little flock, so that if Max dies, there is someone related to Max to save the world.

Max and Max’s mom work against the scientists, and succeed. When Max looks at Dylan, though, he has a small look of hope in his eyes.

After that scene, They go on to talk about seeing some life-forms from a new lab. Max is against it, but Max’s mom yet again makes the final decision, and chooses to go.

Max flies from her wings, not in the plane, wanting to be alone. She crashes into something, and she tries to warn everyone else, but does not have enough time, so they bump into the sqishy-ballon-thing, and hit wires below.

Nudge and Iggy need help from Angel, they are almost being pulled into the turbine. Gazzy tries to help Jeb, but he accidentally lets go. Max manages to carry her mom, and Dylan saves the day, and catches Jeb, after Gazzy helps Angel with Nudge and Iggy.

When they land, everyone is hurt in some way. Max has some scratches and bruises, Dylan scratched half his face, Nudge and Iggy can’t move their wings, Gazzy is in shock, Dr. Martinez, Max’s mom, has a broken arm, and Jeb has a broken leg. Hans is gone.

Max and Dylan are fine enough to go look for him, but Max does not want to leave the flock in this time of need. In the end, she goes with Dylan. She and Dylan look everywhere for Hans and the body of the plane, but find nothing. They soon find something else, a School.

Page 16: Book by: James Patterson Report by: Jen Weinger

No, not your regular school, with teachers, but this school is a place where kids are tested on, stripped of DNA and put new DNA in. They try to break in, but are ambushed by ninja-dressed kids, who Dylan says, have no eyes. Even though they have no eyes, they still shoot the guns they have, with perfect aim.

Page 17: Book by: James Patterson Report by: Jen Weinger

Max and Dylan evade the shots that the kids give, and hid in a Cave for the night. They wake to find Angel in front of them, and tell her the situation, asking for help. They go and tie up the kids, and take ones mask off. Instead of no eyes, though, the kid that they look at has multiple eyes, all in a slit around his face.

When the kids break out of the ties, Max, Dylan, and Angel are up in the air, and find the kids weakness. They cant see right above them.

Page 19: Book by: James Patterson Report by: Jen Weinger

They defeat the kids, and leave, flying back to the house they were staying in. On the way back, they see someone below, and swoop down to help. Max finds a cmputer geek, one they saw in the tunnels of New York. He was loopy, out of it. He was talking about how when the world ends, it would be…

Beautiful

Page 21: Book by: James Patterson Report by: Jen Weinger

He didn’t want to be saved, like the three kids thought he would. So they left the creepy kid, and kept on going. When they get back, the flock was giving Max the cold-shoulder for choosing Dylan over them.

Angel then tells Max about a video… on Fang’s blog. It was of Fang and… Max. She was in the room with Fang, in the video. The vidoes date was posted below…. It had been shot and put on, that day, about a few hours ago.

Then the flock learns about the Doomsday Group, and try to save Ella, who had captured her. They find them in the forest, around the fire, singing “She’ll be Comin’ Round the Mountian” with different lyrics. Creepy lyrics.

Page 24: Book by: James Patterson Report by: Jen Weinger

When they get Ella back, they go to sleep, but in the morning, she is gone. So are Jeb and Dr. Martinez. Then Fang calls, and Max hangs up. Then he calls again, but this time Max stays on. He asks her to meet him in San Diego, and they agree, because they both know about the Doomsday group, and want to destroy it.

Page 25: Book by: James Patterson Report by: Jen Weinger

They meet, and Max sees her clone again. Max and Fang fight, and when they come back, everything goes bad. Then Dylan sings, and when Dylan sings, its like heaven for everyone.
