happen too often in our life. It is the life-changing experience that will

influence you and your life as well as the way you see the world. Its notonly about your university or career experience. Being an international

student is priceless life experience. During your everyday life you will

learn a lot about the others, about the world and, mostly, about yourself.

Thanks to it you will feel changed and more confident. Being an

international student is the state of mind, sweeping change in your life

and unforgettable memories which stay with you forever.

Wrocaw is one of the oldest and most beautiful Polish

cities. It is located at the Oder River and at the foot of theSudetes. The city is crossed by many the river canals and

tributaries. It has 12 islands and 112 bridges. Wrocaw is city of

students with a population of over 50,000 students.

ESN UE Wrocaw is a group of young and enthusiastic students

who have been selected to be a part of the Wrocaw University of

Economics Welcoming Team.

Each Erasmus student will be assigned to a tutor who willkeep in touch before the students arrival and will offer help and

advice. At the beginning of your stay it is very important to

register in Lower Silesian Governors Office [temporary

registration]. But dont worry, members of ESN will help you

with it. We organize trips, events and parties for Erasmus

students.

The ESN Card is the membership card of the Erasmus Student

Network. It is a proof of membership in an ESN section and so

indirectly of the ESN Network.

ESNcard Your Erasmus ID !

The ESN Card is also used as a discount card in many cities and

countries around Europe. The ESN Card is valid for 12 months and

only valid with a photo and correct personal data. The card is strictly

personal and cannot be used by somebody else than the card holder.

You can get the ESN Card, if you belong to one of the following

groups :

You have been an international student (e.g Erasmus or any other

exchange programme)

You are currently on exchange

You are a member of an ESN section

The Polish Evening is a

cyclic event of ESN UE

Wrocaw, which aims to

integrate new Erasmus

students and ESN

members.

During the evening, students from other

countries can learn about Polish culture,

discover polish food, music, and also learn

many interesting facts about Wroclaw.

Everybody also have the chance to show the

culture of their countries to the others.

The meeting usually takes place at the

beginning of the semester.

Discover Europe is a

photographic competition for

students from all European

countries. Discover Europe

is an opportunity to broaden

your horizons through a direct

contact with photography. This

extra-ordinary photo contest

is meant to select the best

pictures showing Poland and

other European countries, sentin by the students from all over

the Europe!

Is an international project of ESN with the aim of involving international

students participating in a university exchange in social and volunteering

activities in their host country. This project promotes a social attitude

among international students and facilitates their social integration into the

Erasmus Student Network University Of Economics gives you

the unique opportunity to take part in two amazing trips in winter

semester. In October we want to invite you on ErasmusIntegration Weekend in Krakow and in November on Crazy

Capital Weekend in Warsaw.

Erasmus Integration Weekend in Krakow

Plan of the trip include among others:

visiting Old City of Krakow, Museum of

Krakow City- Rynek Underground, one

day trip to Museum of Auschwitz and

Birkenau and TRAM PARTY.

Krakw is the second largest and one

of the oldest cities in Poland. Krakw

has traditionally been one of the leading

centre of Polish academic, cultural, andartistic life and is one of Poland's most

important economic hubs.

All over the world,

Auschwitz has

become a symbol of

terror, genocide, and

the Holocaust. It was

established by

Germans in 1940, in

the suburbs of

Oswiecim, a Polish

city that was annexed to the Third Reich by the Nazis.

Crazy Capital Weekend in Warsaw

Plan of the trip include among others: visiting WARSAW City,

Warsaw Rising Museum, tour of the Palace of Culture and Science,

amazing BUS PARTY. Warsaw is the capital and largest city of

Poland. Its population is estimated at 1,720,398 residents and it is

making Warsaw the 6th most populous city in the EuropeanUnion. Warsaw is an Alpha- global city, a major international

tourist destination and an important economic hub in Central

Europe. It is also known as the "phoenix city" because it has

survived many wars throughout its history.

How do you choose the right conference? The

who can you ask for advice? ESN can help!

Mentor is the project of the Erasmus Student Network which heps foreign

students who come from all over Europe at exchange programmes, in

making your first steps in our country. We take up actions which enable

students to get to know Wrocaw and our reality in full.

According to the rule STUDENTS HELPING STUDENTS Mentor

Program is one of numerous project carried out by ESN.

Town Square dating back to the 13th century, mesuring an impressive

208x175 meters and is the centre of Wroclaw.

The Town Hall in the middle of the Town Square is one of

the most magnificent Medieval structures in Europe. ul. Sukiennice 14/15

Tumski Island the former island on the River Oder is now connected to

the mainland. Is the oldest part of Wroclaw. Formerly a stronghold, then a

castle, now St. Johns Cathedral occupies a large part of the island.

The Piasek Island accessed by the Piasek Bridge, Wroclaws oldest

bridge. Next to the bridge stands the Baroque University Library. At theother end of the island stand mills from 17th and 18th centuries. From

where there is beautiful view of Tumski Island.

The Grunwaldzki Bridge. After its completion it was the longest

suspended bridge in Europe. Today is still holds the record for being

the longest of its kind in Poland. A great vantage point overlooking

the River Oder and the islands Gothic churches.

Wrocaw University. The main building of the university is the

largest Baroque structure in Wroclaw. The building dates back to the

first half of the 18th century.

The White Stork Synagogue is a 19th century Classicist synagogue

where St. Edith Steins parents used to pray. ul. Wlodkowica

The Panorama of Racawice. A monumental painting from the late

19th century commemorating the Polish victory over the Russian

army at the battle of Raclawice in 1794. The panorama is one ofWroclaws greatest attractions. On display in rotunda at the Slowacki

The Peoples Hall (Hala Ludowa) is the first modernist structure in

the world erected using reinforced concerete. Consructed by the

Germans in 1913 as part of the centenary historicak exhibition

The Water Tower. A fine 19th century example of hydraulic

machinery Brickwork, steel and cast iron frame. ul. Na Grobli

Wroclaw Arsenal 15th century. One of few Medieval arsenals

Botanical Garden establishment in the early 19th century in the

place of a former River Oder canal. It spans four heactares and

contains a rosarium and an alpine garden. The orangery ouses the
